We have been interacting with this large community for some time, contributing and receiving feedback. However, we had the opportunity to take this collaboration to another level by sending Jean Michel a Supreme HDMI cable to test. Here's his review of HDMI Supreme!

Le packaging est simple et propre, une boîte scellée contenant le câble, seule critique, le câble voyage sans aucun matériau d'emballage interne, mousse ou film à bulle. A noter qu'entre la commande et la livraison, le délai a été de 24h! Après cette présentation, place à l'action!
Le câble prend place dans mon petit système TV, entre l'Apple TV et le lecteur Oppo. [...] Il remplace le câble Supra, installé depuis quelques années, dont la longueur plus importante me posait quelque problème d'intégration. Je rappelle qu'un essai précédent de remplacement par un Audioquest modèle Forest (le début de gamme donc) s'était concluit par un renvoi de l'américain dans ses foyers.
La désagréable sensation d'avoir "éteint la lumière" avec l'usage du nouvel arrivant ayant closant le débat très vite. La déception me conduisit à re-tenter un câble "no name" sans plus de résultat. Le Supra avait donc repris tranquillement sa place sans plus de discussion. Alors, me direz-vous, et cette fois, comment se comporte le nouveau candidat?
En habitué des tests audiophiles, je m'apprêtais à une séance de visionnages pour traquer les nuances [...] et les éléments encourageants. Connaissant la haute technicité de certains membres du groupe, j'appréhendais un peu d'avoir à justifier le moindre qualificatif et la plus petite trace de subjectivité, dans ce domaine de la vidéo qui ne m'a jamais passionné. Tellement peu que, pour une fois, je me rangeais à l'avis des objectivistes: il y a une norme, des caractéristiques, ça marche à 100% ou bien il y a un grossier défaut de fabrication. L'image, ça se voit, un punto c'est tout. J'avoue que je ne détestais pas cette tranquille assurance de la vidéo, fatigué parfois des affres audiophiles pour le moindre test audio.
Je branchai donc mon petit ustensile sans plus de précaution alors qu'une série quelconque passait sur ma TV et m'en retournai à mon fauteuil. Le temps de m'installer et... ma vénérable Panasonic Plasma, à la résolution HD toute bête, au rendu tellement cinéma dopé un peu par le traitement opéré par l'Oppo... s'était transformée en un splendide 4K! Je plaisante bien sûr, j'avais sous les yeux beaucoup mieux que cette image hyper réaliste que l'on peut découvrir dans tous les supermarchés, la FNAC et les bricodépôts (vous voyez l'intérêt que je porte à la chose vidéo).
J'avais sous les yeux une splendide image que j'appréciais en photographe: joli piqué soulignant des textures réalistes, couleurs naturelles et surtout une dynamique surprenante avec des ombres débouchées et des hautes lumières parfaitement détaillées. L'envie de balayer l'immensité des propositions Netflix, Disney et autres Prime, sans oublier les chaînes TV. Je vous garantis que cela ne m'arrive pas souvent. Vous l'aurez compris, comme pour ma dernière tentative, il n'y a pas débat, mais dans l'autre sens: le Ricable va rester à sa place. Il est des moments où il faut se rendre à l'évidence: ça marche!

The packaging is simple and clean, a sealed box containing the cable; only criticism: the cable travels without any internal packaging material, foam or bubble wrap. Note that only 24 hours elapsed between ordering and delivery! After this presentation, it's time to act!
The cable is in action in my small TV system, between Apple TV and the Oppo player. [...] It replaces the Supra cable, installed a few years ago, whose longer length caused me some integration problems. I remember that a previous attempt to replace it with an Audioquest Forest model (the beginning of the range then) ended with the American company being sent back to its factories.
The unpleasant feeling of having 'switched off the light' by using the newcomer ended the debate very quickly. Disappointment led me to try again with a 'no name' cable to no avail. The Supra then quietly resumed its place without further discussion. So you will say to me: "And this time, how is the newcomer doing?".
Being used to audiophile testing, I was preparing for a session to track down nuances [...] and encouraging elements. Knowing the high technicality of some members of the Facebook group, I was a bit worried about having to justify the slightest exposure and trace of subjectivity, in this video field that has never fascinated me. So much so that, for once, I agree with the objectivists: either there is a standard, characteristics, everything works 100% or there is a gross manufacturing defect. It's all about seeing the image, full stop. I admit that I didn't mind this understatement of the safety of the video field per se, as I sometimes tire of audiophile complaints about every little audio test.
So I plugged my little thing in without much precaution as any series would play on my TV and went back to my chair. When I settled down and... my venerable Panasonic plasma, at simple HD resolution, with a cinema-like rendering, enhanced a bit by the processing done by Oppo... had turned into a splendid 4K! I'm joking of course, I had much better in front of me than this hyper-realistic image found in all supermarkets, FNAC and brico (you can see my interest in the video area).
I had a wonderful image in front of me that I enjoyed as a photographer: beautiful sharpness showing realistic textures, natural colours and above all amazing dynamics with unblocked shadows and perfectly detailed lighting. The desire to blow away the vastness of the Netflix, Disney and Prime offerings, not to mention the TV channels. I guarantee this doesn't happen often. You will have understood, as with my last attempt, there is no debate, but in the opposite direction: the Ricable will remain in place. There are times when you have to face facts: it works!

Désolé de casser l'ambiance, mais un câble numérique véhicule des 0 et des 1, il n'a donc aucune incidence possible sur les textures , les couleurs ou le dynamique. Dire le contraire c'est 1/ ne rien y connaitre en informatique 2/ mentir sur un produit 3/ fumer de la drogue pendant ses branchements
