What made you choose Ricable?

I chose Ricable taking into very careful consideration all the good reviews found online and of course because it is an Italian company and produces directly in Italy. I think supporting Italian companies is essential to maintain the excellent level that everyone has always envied us in many fields. Then knowing that they are handmade is an advantage over competitors.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics
of the product?

The cable immediately gave me a very good impression, high quality materials, solidity and in general the appearance of a premium cable built with great care. Immediately as soon as you pick it up you can tell that it is made well and with craftsmanship worthy of us Italians. The connectors you can feel by touch that they are solid and well constructed.

How did you carry out the tests? What tracks did you use to test the cable?

I evaluated the product without making any particular comparisons with the other cable installed before this one. I did not want to plug and unplug cables all the time and make comparisons with equal tracks and so on. Sometimes in this field one is easily influenced and may end up in untrue considerations or differences. I attached the Ricable, turned the volume up to a good level and started with listening to the CDs.

What were your
listening impressions?

Being a fan of metal in all its variations, I have been able to evaluate the cable with many different nuances. Whether with more classic metal a la Iron Maiden, melodic and symphonic metal of Nightwish and the like, moving on to power Metal of Helloween or Blind Guardian. Continuing on with more extreme genres such as the Death Metal of Immolation, Death or Morbid Angel and the pure and raw Black Metal of Mayhem or Darkthrone or the more complex one of Emperor. In albums where guitars are mixed with keyboards or symphony orchestra and create a very full sound carpet, one can catch all the nuances present without there being indistinguishable sonic chaos. The sound is crystal clear and not muddy. Of course if you listen to a poorly mixed and mastered recorded album the result will be bad, but here it is not the fault of the cable, in fact it is a merit of the cable because it returns the sound as it was produced. So my listening impression is very positive, I was fully satisfied.

Your conclusions.

Am I satisfied with my purchase? Am I happy that I spent several pennies on a cable? Has it actually improved the sound of my system? I answer yes to all the questions. The cable has satisfied me in all aspects. From the packaging to the build quality, and of course the most important aspect: the audio quality. The thing I liked the most is that it is a neutral cable, it returns the audio as it was produced without coloring the sound, without adding or taking anything away from the sound. Bravo, keep up the good work, of course the prices are not popular, I assume because producing in Italy and building by hand requires other costs than producing abroad and relying on machinery. Promoted with flying colors.
