Review #116 - Cable Magnus Speaker MKII - Ricable Review

The product is delivered in a noteworthy package marked Ricable indicating the model of the cable chosen. One notices the care and precision in the manufacture of the cables themselves and solid build quality.
The products are customizable by length and color of the braid wrapping the cable. The "Ricable" print on the sheath also gives that aesthetic detail that only Ricable cables can give.

I have never been a believer in the "magic of cables" but I chose to replace my Speaker Oehlbach cables with Ricable Magnus only as an aesthetic matter, without believing in the "improvement" issue that the same could return on the overall sound of my system.
I chose to customize my cable with a gray "Primus style" sock for aesthetic issues related to my listening room and I must say that the product in addition to being delivered very quickly (three days), I immediately found it to be excellently made with a quality and solidity of materials quite evident both to the eye and to the touch.
As soon as I finished connecting the cables, I immediately turned on the entire system to perform my first listening sessions noticing to my enormous displeasure a cold directing and somewhat squeaky sound, tiring to listen to... I immediately contacted the support Ricable to inquire about the procedure to be performed to make the return.
In this regard, I was advised by the service department itself to continue with listening to let the cables break in and let my ear get used to the new sound suggesting, moreover, that I try the old cables again only after about twenty hours of listening done with the Ricable, to make a more real and truthful assessment.
Honestly, I was not very convinced of their suggestion and the change in positive that the cable could have, but having two months to be able to return the product I wanted to put my faith in their idea. Due to a trip out of town, I was prevented from listening for about twenty days but the system was still used by my wife to watch TV 😅
As soon as I returned, I finally settled back on the listening seat, however, finding a different sound, as transparent as the first few times but not as annoying as it had initially seemed to me; on the contrary, it was rich in nuance, the instruments were precisely positioned, and even small details were easily distinguishable!
I then reconnected the old cables to recompare them and unexpectedly noticed that the sound was less crisp and less deep with details that did not appear even by sharpening my ears!!!
I carried out several tests even with the help of a friend and from that moment I could no longer prefer the old cable over the new one.
