The following review of the INTERCONNECT Invictus Speaker cable is the result of the "Try a Ricable" initiative, which was created, in collaboration with listening groups or Hi-Fi forums, to collect testimonials from from the real listening experience of users, in their own reference Hi-Fi system.
The following Feedback was created on the basis of a predefined questionnaire to which the user returned their impressions, in a completely free.
We thank Maximilian for his time.

Let's start with a premise...

I am not a cable super expert, I am not a cavoscettico but I believe that the truth is always in the middle. More of a personal experience than a review. There is definitely a tangible gulf between cheap red and black wire and an entry level dedicated cable. I am also convinced that the higher you go with quality/complexity/cost of a cable, the narrower the margin of appreciation. It goes without saying that there has to be some sort of balance: the more valuable elements in the audio chain that are able to be more revealing, the more a quality cable is able to make its own contribution to the system, to express its own sense of existence compared to perhaps a cheaper configuration.

Based on this belief I wanted to try the best speaker cable from Ricable: theInvictus. In a system that took quite a while for me to access : the best Grandinote integrated, the Supremo, their Volta streamer and their Mach 2P speakers. Having reached a point of excellence with the electronics, one must of necessity move on to what is known as "fine tuning," improving the cables INTERCONNECT, Speaker and power cords. The new game then becomes to start trying to figure out what the differences might be by going to improve our connections, especially when you have a concrete idea of the performance of your system after several hours of listening.

As I said, I am not a cable skeptic but neither am I a top cable fundamentalist, and so my starting point was a line of cables just above entry level from a well-known company. I am then with comparing it to cables Speaker Invictus from Ricable and in a system like mine the difference was quite clear. One of the first adjectives I would use to describe them is "balance." I am particularly sensitive to high tones, and with this cable I distinctly perceived greater detail in the treble for less fatigue, which, with this alone, paid for itself. The other end also benefits with an even sharper and more controlled bass.

A transparent cable, which is then the sublimation of the very task of a cable, returning a defined and (pardon the overused term) textural sound. If your system will allow it, you will be there to pick up small details that were not so obvious before. And in all likelihood much more noticeable details as well.

What did you enjoy?

- Balance
- More details
- Transparency
- Control

What would you improve?

- Nothing to report
