Je recherchais des câbles HDMI de meilleure qualité pour remplacer les câbles dont j'étais équipé. Je pensais prendre des câbles de la marque AudioQuest, mais leur prix m'a fait fortement hésiter : investir une telle somme sans pouvoir tester avant. En cherchant sur Internet, j'ai découvert le Visus 2.1, 89 euros en 1 mètre, avec la possibilité de le retourner sous 60 jours si je n'étais pas satisfait.
et l'esthétique du produit?
Les câbles sont arrivés très rapidement par FedEx dans un magnifique carton d'emballage. Les connecteurs sont assez larges, ce qui peut être gênant si les ports HDMI sur l'appareil sont trop rapprochés pour connecter deux câbles côte à côte. La connexion est franche, et le câble est légèrement rigide. J'aurais préféré une gaine de couleur noire ou plus foncée que le bleu et blanc.
J ai deux câbles HDMI : l'un entre l'Apple TV et la TV Sony, l'autre entre la TV Sony et le ZD3.
Premier essai : remplacement du câble entre la box et la TV : démontage du Lindy Gold Line, puis installation d'un Visus 2.1.
Deuxième essai : remplacement du câble entre la TV et le DAC : retrait du câble Amazon, puis installation du deuxième Visus 2.1.
impressions d'écoute?
Dès le remplacement du premier câble, ce qui m'a le plus marqué, c'est la qualité de la vidéo, que ce soit sur la TV en direct ou bien sur YouTube Music. Les images sont nettement plus belles, le contraste est largement amélioré, les couleurs sont parfaites. Jamais je n'aurais imaginé que ma vieille Sony Full HD était capable d'un affichage aussi plaisant. C'est comme si j'avais changé mon écran pour un modèle beaucoup plus récent : l'image paraît beaucoup moins pixelisée.
Remplacement du deuxième câble, qui va de l'ARC de la TV vers mon DAC pour la partie audio. Là aussi, une amélioration, mais moins marquée. Le câble s'est libéré après plusieurs heures, laissant apparaître davantage de détails. Ma femme ne l'entendait pas, donc j'ai réinstallé le câble Amazon pour comparer. Elle a confirmé que c'était mieux avec le Visus 2.1 sur une chanson qu'elle connaît bien : Lose Control.
Vos conclusions.
Pour la qualité d'image, c'est impressionnant de voir comment le Visus 2.1 améliore la vidéo sur un écran. Pour la partie audio, c'est plus subtil et aussi long à venir (rodage ou habitude ?).
Dommage que le gainage du câble ne soit pas d'une couleur plus passe-partout. Attention à la largeur du connecteur si vous avez plusieurs câbles à connecter côte à côte.
Avant de changer votre TV pour améliorer la qualité d'image, pensez à vous équiper d'un câble HDMI Visus 2.1.

I was looking for better quality HDMI cables to replace the ones I already had. I thought of buying AudioQuest brand cables, but their price made me hesitate a lot: investing such a sum without being able to try them first... Searching on the Internet, I discovered the Visus 2.1, at 89 euros for 1 meter, with the possibility of returning it within 60 days in case of dissatisfaction.
and aesthetics of the product?
The cables arrived very quickly by FedEx, in a beautiful package. The connectors are quite wide, which can be problematic if the HDMI ports on the device are too close together to connect two cables side by side. The connection is solid and the cable is slightly stiff. I would have preferred a black or otherwise darker color jacket than the blue and white.
I have two HDMI cables: one between the Apple TV and the Sony TV, the other between the Sony TV and the ZD3.
First test: replacing the cable between the box and the TV, removing the Lindy Gold Line and installing a Visus 2.1.
Second test: replacing the cable between the TV and the DAC, removing the Amazon cable and installing the second Visus 2.1.
listening impressions?
As soon as I replaced the first cable, the thing that impressed me most was the quality of the video, both on live TV and YouTube Music. The pictures are definitely better, the contrast is greatly improved, and the colors are perfect. I never imagined that my old Sony Full HD could offer such a pleasing visual quality. It is as if I had changed the screen to a much newer model: the picture looks much less "pixelated."
Replacing the second cable, the one that goes from the TV's ARC to my DAC for the audio part. Here again I noticed an improvement, albeit less noticeable. The cable "cleared" after several hours, bringing out more detail. My wife initially did not perceive the difference, so I reinstalled the Amazon cable for comparison. She confirmed that with the Visus 2.1 the quality was better on a song she knows well: Lose Control.
Your conclusions.
In terms of image quality, it is impressive to see how Visus 2.1 improves video on a screen. For the audio part, the improvement is more subtle and also takes longer (break-in or habit?).
Too bad the cable jacket is not a more neutral color. Pay attention to the width of the connector if you have to connect several cables side by side.
Before changing your TV to improve picture quality, consider getting a Visus 2.1 HDMI cable.
