Review #124 - Dedalus Series Cables - Ricable Review

I had begun some time ago to revolutionize the wiring of the system, the choice was and remained on the Dedalus series, a series of cables that, I find, has a high quality/price ratio. Bit by bit I completed the cable replacement, step by step I realized more and more the difference. No small change by virtue of having an amplifier and demanding sources (in addition to the rest, of course).
and aesthetics of the product?
Excellently constructed cables, flexible but strong, terminated with really well-made connectors. You can see the care taken in construction, the plug is solid and precise, the cable has a large diameter but still manageable in the bends where needed. Note also for the packaging of the whole series: sturdy and beautiful to look at. Worthy complement for prestige cables.
Listening was done with both streamer, CD and vinyl, using tracks I know well. Hi-Res tracks, CDs and vinyl with top-notch recordings.
Generally spoken word always with a contemporary jazz genre (Miles Davis, Marcus Miller and others) and then moving on to some blues/rock, not the least of which are some top-quality live performances: Skunk Anansie, Live in London acoustic...beautiful and excellently recorded and Nirvana's Unplugged. There is no shortage of passages with Joe Bonamassa.
listening impressions?
What I like most about the Dedalus series as a whole is the neutrality of the sound, but still very revealing while maintaining a good amount of dynamics when needed. The whole took the place of the cables of well-known American and Dutch brands, but the sound of these was a bit pumped up, muddy and sometimes sounded veiled, I honestly did not like them, however similarly priced cables from Ricable. With Dedalus everything has changed-it's like removing a curtain that was in front of the speakers.
Your conclusions.
In light of the facts, I can say that the Dedalus series has given me a good turnaround, I can be satisfied with the result. In that case, the cables I installed are XLR for the DAC/amplifier, AES/EBU and USB between DAC and streamer, coaxial between DAC and CD, and the Dedalus Elte Speaker for the speakers with their Bridge jumpers.
