What made you choose Ricable?

Following a passion continued from a young age, I slowly began to make my own small Hi-Fi system. Over time, following trade show magazines and forums I began to learn about component brands including Ricable. Tests and comparisons were made by me and like-minded enthusiasts, at meetings, on different pieces of music finding us all agreeing in the final definitely positive and improving judgment.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics
of the product?

From the cables connecting the electronics you could immediately tell the high quality of construction, nice presentation as packaging and excellent functionality. Arriving to have to buy the first Speaker cable I opted for the U40 metered one... then not satisfied I switched to the SH65 and I must say that the step was remarkable... now switching to McIntosh MA8950 and JBL 4349 speakers I made the decision to invest in a high level pre-made cable: Invictus Speaker Reference MKII given the possibility, if not satisfied, to request a refund within 60 days... needless to say the result is truly remarkable, plus I had purchased in the past the jumpers: Invictus Bridge Reference, very good combination. Very fast shipping.

How did you carry out the tests? What tracks did you use to test the cable?

Immediately tried with pieces already heard many times, unfailing Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon and The Endless River, Dire Straits: On Every Street, Acoustic Alchemy: American/English, various pieces of jazz and classical music. The tests were also performed alternating Speaker cables of other brands, and the shared result was more than positive on the Invictus Speaker Reference MKII cables.

What were your
listening impressions?

Listening impressions were immediately positive, already good with the SH65 cable, but with Invictus Speaker Reference MKII it is a different feel, the sound is fuller, the bass is deeper but not disturbing, voices are forward, present, whereas before they lagged further behind and the bass tended to cover the voices, although less present perhaps the 100 Hz has been minimized slightly favoring the mids. Instruments are well distinguishable from each other and certain nuances are caught that were lost before.

Your conclusions.

In conclusion, I can say that Ricable 's cables, and specifically the Invictus Speaker Reference MKII cables, have held up perfectly well in comparisons with other well-known brands, garnering positive results among the enthusiasts who performed the tests with me. While I admit that they are a bit expensive, I am very pleased with their performance as the improvement is truly tangible. Ricable for me remains a good reference, moreover it is an Italian brand!
