Construction and aesthetics. Did you find the cable solid and attractive?

Excellent. Nice box and as soon as I opened it, with impatience, it seemed to me a well made cable; as soon as I took it in my hand the confirmation of the object very heavy (I took a meter), well cared and assembled, but what you notice immediately is the extreme flexibility, very good thing if compared to a very but very rigid 1,5 meters HiViLux cable that I use on a power supply for a DIY sub. I took advantage of the offer Ricable because I made the last modification (also the internal cables INTERCONNECT I replaced them with Ricable S8D in semi-balanced mode) to my old Sony PS-FL1 turntable of 1982 and I wanted everything to be perfect as it has a sentimental value. I have also eliminated its power supply replacing it with an external handmade one specially assembled for it and I have left the HiViLux to the sub which, however, always with a handmade power supply, has seemed immediately without background buzzing and much more "dry" and "fast", the bass improved also by the substitution of the OP with a Texas Instruments OPA1652 SoundPLUS on the amplifier board.

How did you test for differences?

I've also recently bought a mains conditioner (this is the time when I concentrate on the power supply) and before the cable Ricable I was using a normal white cable with IEC socket and together with the mains conditioner I already noticed the elimination of noise and hum at maximum volume (without music) at +10 dB with a Harman Kardon AVR155, I tried to put the Ricable cable after the conditioner and before the turntable power supply and the normal cable from the wall socket to the conditioner and vice versa and something jumped out at me. I also tried the HiViLux cable replacing it with the Ricable cable but the only thing I noticed was the formidable flexibility of the Ricable cable, so very comfortable to use behind the electronics in small spaces.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

As an acquaintance of mine, a professor of good and healthy nutrition, used to say, after a thousand thousand kilometres of shitty cable from the wall socket, I put a python cable in it and it improves everything, it's like saying that if I put a steel ring in a chocolate chain, the chain holds up better... INCREDIBLE BUT TRUE... it may be the miracle of voltages and currents or a minimum placebo effect... but if you remove interference and increase transmission speed...!
It's a month that I use the cable and I have used some classical records that lately I like to enjoy in the evening with a Calvados in my hand to warm up, but also with other genres, Beethoven among the favourites with the Symphony n. 3 and n. 5 by Karajan and n. 6 by Bernstein, I hated the piano but I have discovered Keith Jarrett in The Köln Concert, by Karajan always the Boléro by Ravel and Vivaldi with The Four Seasons and Böhm who conducts Mozart in the Symphony n. 40, K. 467 Mozart. 40, Mozart's K. 467, Op. 50 Beethoven, Dire Straits Brothers in Arms especially Your Latest Trick, Eric Clapton with I Still Do (double 45 rpm vinyl) fantastic vocals for Tevis-Morricone's Lonesome Billy from the legendary westerns and The Notting HillBillies.

Any differences from reference cables.
Did you find any?

In listening, as I said, for me it really changes from the standard cable but especially using the cable Ricable AFTER the conditioner. Using it for the conditioner I noticed only more silence compared to the standard cable... using it for the turntable's power supply, besides bringing almost to zero my hums at maximum volume, I noticed a wider soundstage, a bass (as for the sub with the special cable) less booming (maybe due to the interferences of the old cable) more decisive (I don't know if I explain myself), cleaner voice and guitars that I like more.
I'm not an expert in this field, I've been out of the business for twenty years and I'm starting to get interested again.

What did you like?

- Flexibility even with a tape measure
- Good workmanship
- Healthier power supply
- The cable does not colour the sound, but is transparent

What would you improve?

- The adhesive label Ricable on the plugs is not exactly the best, as they can come off and get damaged if you force them in...
