Let me start by saying that this small system is set up in a second home by the sea; even though it’s very simple, it manages to create a soundstage that satisfies me. I chose Ricable I had already used products from this brand to set up two other small systems I have in my primary residence—one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor… for me, music should be enjoyable everywhere! Getting back to the cable in question, I was looking for a way to use the Powernode to play audio from my Samsung TV through my Mission speakers via the HDMI connection. I tried a cable I already had, but wasn’t satisfied with the results Ricable I thought of Ricable I checked their website Ricable I saw this B1 cable listed among their end-of-line clearance items at a very affordable price. So I ordered it.
and aesthetics of the product?
The cable arrived very quickly in appropriate packaging that reflects the care taken with the shipment. As always, the box and the cable reflect the product’s high quality, and I’m pleasantly surprised every time! I was fairly well-prepared, having already owned other Ricable cables— Ricable RCA and digital, as well as speaker cables—but there’s always a surprise!
Testing the product was very simple… I just connected the two HDMI ports on the TV and the amplifier and selected a movie (in my case , *Dune: Part Two*) to experience a “basic” home theater system for the first time… I hope the enthusiasts won’t hold this simplicity against me! There’s always a first time.
listening impressions?
Since this was actually the first time I’d listened to TV audio through my system’s speakers, I really appreciated the spatial quality of the sound and its ability to create a deeply immersive experience. Fortunately, I conducted these tests during a time when Ravenna’s beaches were relatively empty, so the absence of neighbors allowed me to frequently turn the volume up beyond the limits of good neighborly conduct, while still maintaining excellent sound clarity and detail.
Your conclusions.
As you may have gathered, I’m not a qualified “technician”; I rely mainly on the emotional response and engagement that listening to music evokes in me. Whether it’s thanks to the TV, the Bluesound (what a great device!), the little Mission speakers, or the RicableI believe it’s the combination of all these elements that contributes to a satisfying sound. And Ricable has certainly played its part to the fullest Ricable this regard.
