Did the cable feel solid and attractive?
Excellently constructed and aesthetically very, very nice cable. High class connectors and perfect tightening.

Test conducted by connecting the Magnus between the Audio Research preamp and power amp. Right away I noticed an improvement especially in the definition and control of the low frequencies compared to the Van Den Hul D-102. After a few days of break-in, the mid-high range was also well present, open and very pleasant.
What tracks did you use to test the cable?
Impressions were overwhelmingly positive, thanks in part to the outstanding contribution of the Speaker Supreme P2 cable, connected to Berkeley MKII tannoys, purchased a few days later. Rehearsals with Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Michael Bublé and Musica Nuda to test vocals; Gary Moore, The Aristocrats, Porcupine Tree, Iron Maiden for rhythm and rock sections. All presented beautifully, with excellent soundstaging and good handling of even the most challenging passages.

Have you encountered any?
As written above, not abysmal but clear differences from the Van Den Hul. I would be curious, finances permitting, to also try the power cables and the higher series INTERCONNECT and power.
What did you enjoy?
- Sonic quality
- Construction quality
- Aesthetics
- Value for money
