The following review of the Primus Signal cable is the result of the "Ricable Review" initiative. Ricable Review is the program designed by Ricable, created to collect feedback from audiophiles, in order to lead to continuous improvement of the products in the catalog. Last but not least, those who join the program receive a certificate at home, with the purpose of certifying how the customer has become to all intents and purposes part of the " Ricable" family.
The following Feedback was created on the basis of a predefined questionnaire to which the user returned their impressions, in a completely free. We thank Donato for his time.

What made you choose Ricable?

I needed to get a two-meter INTERCONNECT RCA cable to connect my digital source (CD player) to the integrated amplifier. My previous self-built cable was much shorter as the original position of the player was right next to the integrated amp. The new arrangement of the electronics allowed me to move my turntable away from the left speaker, avoiding possible acoustic feedback. I chose Ricable out of curiosity. I had seen pictures on a forum, read the specifications on the site, and viewed some reviews. I was attracted by the fact that it was an entirely Made In Italy product and offered such ample guarantees of quality.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics
of the product?

The first impact was very positive. The packaging is great, the product looks very good despite being classified as the entry level of the Italian company. Packaging and logo are a business card that really works. Aesthetically, the cables are presented with a sleek and flexible outer sheath, the terminations are well done, and the contacts are firm and secure. They really make a good impression, and this time I don't feel the need to hide the cables behind my electronics at all, on the contrary....

How did you carry out the tests? What tracks did you use to test the cable?

I tested the cables with my personal test discs, among others Dire Straits' Love over Gold, Diana Krall's The Girl in the Other Room, Dylan's Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid in the Japanese Blu-spec CD version, Rickie Lee Jones' eponymous MQA CD from Japan as well, and finally Blind Faith's eponymous, quality edition also from the Rising Sun.

What were your
listening impressions?

The self-built cable did not perform badly but was always a temporary solution. With these RCA cables the soundstage is definitely wider and richer, the sounds are realistic, the bass never overflowing. Everything is very measured, never over the top. The musical signal arrives without any smearing whatsoever, is pleasant and lets itself be heard without any difficulty. In short, everything flows very naturally. This new link in the chain therefore lets everything through and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Your conclusions.

Although it is an "entry level," I am satisfied with both the build quality and the sound performance. I hope to have the opportunity to buy also other types of cables Ricable in the near future, I think both power supply and cables Speaker . The company is Italian, dynamic and turns out to be also "nice" in terms of digital marketing, smart and never invasive. In my opinion it works! Congratulations indeed!
