I was familiar with the company through trade magazines, various internet forums that I am a member of, and various videos that can be found on YouTube and the web in general. An important aspect that made me approach these products is the fact that Ricable is a company that designs and manufactures totally in Italy.
and aesthetics of the product?
In addition to the speed of delivery, right from the start, I was favorably impressed by the packaging of the package, which already hints at the care the company puts into its products. The cables immediately give an idea of the high quality already from the workmanship of the wiring, the thick but at the same time very flexible braid and the BFA type banana plugs that guarantee a perfect and firm connection.
For the audio test I simply replaced my cables that I had been using for several years with Dedalus and proceeded to listen to several songs that I use as a test bed for comparisons, namely Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits and Live at Pompeii by David Gilmour. I also tested the cables with some jazz music with Diana Krall tunes.
listening impressions?
From the very first listening I could detect a pleasant sound picture that was much more precise, with the position of all instruments and voices well defined and a depth of the soundstage that I would never have imagined could be obtained only by replacing the cables Speaker . I also perceived something that, knowing the design philosophy of neither adding nor taking away from the sound message, I would not have expected to get: a quality as well as a much more pronounced and, at the same time, more controlled presence of the bass frequencies.
Your conclusions.
In conclusion, I highly recommend the purchase of these cables because of the marked improvement in the performance of my Hi-Fi system that I was able to notice right away. Of course the price is important, but the quality and performance improvement you get are definitely worth the expense incurred. Moreover, the idea of supporting a company that manufactures and designs its products entirely in Italy, especially in a particular moment like the one we are living, is an extra incentive to choose these products.
