The following review of the Dedalus Signal cable is the result of the "Ricable Review" initiative. I have been using mid-level cables for years thinking that the same were not "indispensable/important" in the quest for good listening sound. I read many reviews and after a couple of them on Ricable products I was convinced to take the step for some "major" purchases.
After the first purchase I realized how cables are among the indispensable components of a Hi-Fi system. The setup can be minimal or lavish, it can be made even with just a set of speakers and a networked smart integrated amplifier. What is certain is that all speakers must be connected to the amplifier, and consequently a good amplifier must be connected to a CD player or platter, by good quality cables, capable of transferring not only the pure electrical signal and power.
What in fact a good Hi-Fi cable must do is carry the analog music signal, made up of harmonics and timing, between the various components and then to the speakers. Choosing the correct cables is absolutely essential just as not getting good cables leads to a waste of the rest of the investment already made. Let us avoid spending thousands on sophisticated and beautiful equipment and then connecting it with a random or low-quality cable.
and aesthetics of the product?
The Dedalus Signal is really a nice cable without spending a lot of money. I switched to a Roksan K3 amplifier about ten months ago and I must say that the differences with this new cable can be heard from the first use, let's see what happens after the break-in period. The cable connects a Roksan K3 amplifier to a Marantz CD6007 CD player. With jazz music it gives admirable detail and the wide soundstage given by this amp and cable allows the instruments plenty of room to breathe with detail retrieval that is nothing short of excellent. Voices then are full of texture and alive.
At the moment I am still in a state/period of "break-in" and, it may be because I have a cable that is finally new, but, after several years, I have already noticed a very good improvement in the sound range, particularly in the treble. Voices very well defined and instruments precise in both detail and ensemble music.
listening impressions?
The cable connects a Roksan K3 amplifier to a Marantz CD6007 CD player. Okay, maybe we are not at a high level as Hi-Fi components, but the added value of the cable can all be heard. Especially with jazz music you can hear well defined voices and wind instruments. Rock music well defined and in particular in some passages of Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin songs you can hear the artist's hands on the guitar strings or to note how well defined the vocals now turn out to be.
Your conclusions.
Nothing to complain about the quality of the cables Ricable. Not to mention the shipping service always efficient and fast in delivery. I think I am just getting started and as soon as possible I will also take the step of buying a Dedalus Power , as a power cable. To be commended the attention to detail in construction and the definition achieved by this manufacturer that makes high quality cables.

- Maybe it is because of the break-in period, but at the moment I notice a slight marking for the treble
