Here we are at the final examination of this top-of-the-line cable; the test took place on my main system consisting of The First Audio Innovations L2 preamp and power amp, CocktailAudio X50 source with Lector Digicode DAC and Quad ESL63 speakers; theInvictus connected the DAC to the preamp. Right from the start it seemed to me to be in front of a "serious" cable with solid construction and also beautiful to look at; on first listening, what struck me most was the nice full but fast and controlled bass, and the really good dislocation of the instruments, the timbre healthy and very pleasant, good transparency and neutrality.
The cable I compared it with, not with an "attach and detach" but by holding one cable more days and then switching to the other, is the White Gold Infinito I°. To say that one is better than the other is beyond me, they are different, each with its own peculiarities that more or less enhance certain parameters, for example theInvictus moves the soundstage a little more forward and has a hair less detail and depth, on the other hand its bass and the body it gives to the instruments are first-rate as is its musicality (something that makes listening really enjoyable). In conclusion, theInvictus is a cable that I recommend to try and that I consider outstanding especially for its really high cost/performance ratio.
