Here we are at the final review of this top cable; the test has been carried out on my main system composed by The First Audio Innovations preamp L2 and power amp, CocktailAudio X50 source with Lector Digicode DAC and Quad ESL63 loudspeakers; theInvictus connected the DAC to the preamp. Since the very first listening, what struck me most was the full but fast and controlled bass, and the really good dislocation of the instruments, the healthy and very pleasant timbric, the good transparency and neutrality.
The cable I compared it with, not in a "plug and play" fashion but by holding one cable for several days and then switching to the other, is the White Gold Infinito I°. I don't feel I can say that one is better than the other, they are different, each with its own peculiarities that exalt more or less some parameters, for example theInvictus moves the scene a little bit forward and has a little less detail and depth, on the other hand its bass and the body it gives to the instruments are first rate as its musicality (which makes listening really pleasant). In conclusion, theInvictus is a cable that I recommend to try and that I consider exceptional, especially for its really high cost/performance ratio.
