The current cable in place than I'm looking to upgrade is an Auralic USB cable sold with my old Auralic Vega today replaced by a Denafrips Iris + Pontus combo. This cable seem basic with a shield and ferrites on both sides. Arrive the Ricable Dedalus USB cable. The build quality and packaging is High-End, one of the best I have seen on the market and the best in this price range.
In the following I give my feedback of the Ricable Dedalus USB cable with some listening sessions. All results are not especially due to the cable because the synergy of the system and some compensation are complex. My comments has to be very relativized to my audio context and also to my own tastes which can differ from another person.
Track 1 - Requiem: first impression is a more physical palpability and stability of sources in soundstage. A kind of calmness gives the feeling the music flows slowly, it is a more romantic sound but also I have the feeling it misses me some life.
Track 7 - Non believer: again I can ear this romantic feeling, a little opacity perhaps due to a mid bass little emphasised? Comparing my Auralic USB cable, it misses some slam in the very low bass and also some dynamism. The voice of the singer lacks for me some transparency, she seems a little blurred. But in all cases the sound is very pleasant, very musical but perhaps not on the "master sound" philosophy.
Track 5 - Tourdion: I ear a better depth of soundstage but always this kind of softness which gives a globalised presentation of music when I prefer a more separated sound. But the sound is more musical, I listen to the whole track and some others because I take a lot of pleasure.
Track 1 - Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 1: a very pint point soundstage image with a better feeling of depth, I really like this but always this kind of softness, very pleasant, which give the desire for a long listen session. But it lacks for me a kind of directness, I would like the same musicality but with a more direct sound, to be more inside in the mastering studio.
Track 1 - Chord Left: I can follow each touch of piano more accurately and I ear a more things never eared before in the highs. A very good listening session, the Ricable is a good match with this kind of recording, I really like what I ear.
Track 1 - Hommage à Moondog: the music play very slow, it misses some involvement, the track is boring I think due to less dynamic.

Below is my feedback on the USB cable Ricable Dedalus with some listening sessions. All results are not mainly due to the cable because the system synergy and some compensations are complex. Track 7 - Non believer: again I can hear this romantic feeling, a bit of dullness perhaps due to a poorly emphasised mid-bass? Comparing my Auralic USB cable, it lacks a bit of slam 'in the very low bass' and also a bit of dynamism. The singer's voice lacks transparency, it sounds a bit fuzzy to me. But in all cases the sound is very pleasant, very musical but perhaps not on the 'master sound' philosophy.
Track 5 - Tourdion: I hear a better depth of soundstage but still this kind of softness that gives a globalised presentation of the music when I prefer a more separate sound. But the sound is more musical, I listen to the whole track and a few others because I really enjoy it.
Track 1 - Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 1: a very punctual sound image with a better feeling of depth, I really like this but still this kind of softness, very pleasant, that makes you want a long listening session. But I miss a kind of immediacy, I would like the same musicality but with a more direct sound, to be more inside the mastering studio.
Track 1 - Chord Left: I can follow every touch of the piano more accurately and I hear more things I never heard before in the treble. A very good listening session, the Ricable goes well with this kind of recording, I really like what I hear.
Track 1 - Hommage à Moondog: the music sounds very slow, it lacks some involvement, the track is boring I think because of the lower dynamics.
