The following review of the Magnus Signal cable is the result of the "Ricable Review" initiative. Ricable Review is the program designed by Ricable, created to collect feedback from audiophiles, in order to lead to continuous improvement of the products in the catalog. Last but not least, those who join the program receive a certificate at home, with the purpose of certifying how the customer has become to all intents and purposes part of the " Ricable" family.
The following Feedback was created on the basis of a predefined questionnaire to which the user returned his impressions, in a completely free. We thank Salvo for his time.

What made you choose Ricable?

From online research and encouraged by the positive reviews of other users, I initially purchased the Speaker cables also from Ricable, but the Custom ones, i.e., the H6S, which I finished myself. Having had a very good result and convinced that, with those INTERCONNECT, it would have been better, having purchased them directly assembled from the manufacturer, I opted for the Magnus, which in my opinion align with the range of my system. Mostly, I had the opportunity to buy them, again on the site of Ricable, in the "used guaranteed" section and took advantage of it.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The product is beautifully and elegantly made. The cable is of good thickness, with a very pleasant finish to the touch. The terminations are distinctive, with a screw lock, which allows a good connection with electronics. It is very flexible and conveys a feeling of quality both to the touch and to the eye.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

Musical genres range from jazz to country to rock, specifically Diana Krall, Katie Melua, Youn Sun Nah, Mark Knopfler, Pink Floyd. The test was done with the classic stick-and-go method. I first broke in the electronics, listened carefully to several songs well known to my ear, and repeated listening, especially to certain passages of some songs, where I tried to detect differences.

What were your
listening impressions?

I come from the previous cable which is a WireWorld Luna 8, which I must say was already a good solution. But from the comparison with the Ricable I found multiple differences. The first impression is that of having a superior "transparency" with the Ricable. That is, the sound is much "clearer" and more detailed, with a more distinct top end, but without having any kind of harshness.
I had the impression described in a review read some time before, for another cable Ricable, which said that, it is as if I had a painting on which there was a veil of opacity, which the cable Ricable removed.
The midrange, in reference to the voices, is more "centered" and less harsh in the treble. The low frequencies are where I had the least change, but still in some tracks, I perceive more control.

Your conclusions.

As all audiophiles well know, on cables there are extremists of both factions, the cable-skeptics and the "cavophiles." I with my little experience have formed the idea, that a cable certainly will not be able to make a bad-sounding system sound good. But related to the cost of the electronics, and placed in contexts where every detail makes a difference, they can improve the little that makes a setup better.
In conclusion, a well-crafted cable with excellent performance. I recommend the purchase of the cables Ricable, which boast the much flaunted and proud Made in Italy. Finally, I want to emphasize the helpfulness of the customer service and courtesy in recommending the right solution.
