Review #8 - Cable Dedalus Speaker - Ricable Review
For some time I had been trying to improve some of my components, including cables Speaker ; I was coming from basic cables from Transparent (sold by the metre) not bad but I was looking for something more. Searching on the net I came across Ricable; for some time I was uncertain between this company and another brand highly publicized in the various forums; the site, the few but good reviews, the Made in Italy and a certain something made me lean toward Ricable. I was actually leaning toward Magnus, they seemed more proportionate to the commercial value of my system, then a good bargain in the used ... and I got the Dedalus.

and aesthetics of the product?
As soon as I opened the plain cardboard box that contained the packaging of Dedalus I was sincerely surprised and amazed. The packaging is worthy of jewelry store products! The first impression upon touching the cables was of solid, well-finished and carefully constructed objects--they give a pleasant sense of reliability. Certainly they are not easy cables to hide, both because of their size and their rather garish color, but this is an exquisitely aesthetic aspect that in some cases could be considered a plus.
I also appreciated the detail of the pull ties to hold the cables, which are strictly branded with the logo Ricable. Although I purchased used cables, the feeling was that I was dealing with a new product, both in terms of packaging and the condition of the contents.
I plugged in the new cables and started listening to a number of pieces I know particularly well, from pop-rock to jazz to classical; the latter two are the genres I listen to the most. I did not perform comparison tests with my old cables; I knew them quite well, and the difference was immediate and so stark that I felt no need for further comparison.

listening impressions?
From the very first bars, a number of differences were evident, for the better, from my previous equipment. The Dedalus brought out a more articulate and controlled low range from my speakers, producing the perception of greater prominence of low frequencies, and their greater intelligibility.
There was also a marked improvement on the higher frequencies, for example, drum cymbals or the hi-hat were clearer, more vivid and resonant in the listening room, as if in air suspension, with a sound, especially when passing the brushes, pass me the term, "golden." Detail in general is much improved, a little anecdote: while listening to Blue in Green (in Kind of Blue, Miles Davis), towards the end of the piece, I noticed, for the first time, that the double bass makes the last bars played with the bow! What can I say, maybe I had never been so attentive to listening, but the effect of surprise and amazement at spotting a "new" sound in a piece heard over and over again made me fall in love with Dedalus.
Your conclusions.
In conclusion, I can say that the whole sound range has improved; in general the feeling is that there has been an enrichment of harmonics and therefore a more involving, warm and present sound. After what I have written, I can only recommend these cables; to me, with my system, they have brought improvements that frankly I would not have believed, of course we are talking about nuances, but so obvious that I consider well spent every penny. Given the good experience I've had, I'm also planning to buy INTERCONNECT cables for my CD player. Ricable has made my listening happier!
