Mr. Zanetti's review discovering cables Ricable Dedalus (Christmas special)

At least in theory, the odyssey of our client, Mr. Zanetti, was supposed to consist of two installments (for those who missed them: here are the links to the first e to the second). In practice, however, his vicissitudes involving Ricable also extended almost to Christmas, so much so that today we are publishing Zanetti's self-written account of his experience with the series cables Dedalus, for what should really be the third as well as the final installment of the story. After trying the blue cables (Invictus) I was deeply puzzled. How was it explicable that there was such a marked difference between my albeit good cables and these latest ones? I needed to consult a good classical physics textbook to clarify the "mystery" for me. My cables are self-made. I kept in mind the purity of the copper, the insulation against radio frequencies, and the quality of the connectors. Today all this is no longer sufficient for a shrewd and informed audiophile.

One must at least add an "active" noise reduction system to it. Some will say, "But what noise?" From physics we learn that the movement of electrons in a wire generates noise (noise)! Generally for common uses (lighting, household appliances, heating) this "noise" is ignored, but for more specialized uses (in measuring equipment, in cutting-edge analytical techniques, in astronomy, and so on) one must take it into account and try to reduce it with more or less complex "filters."

Looking closely at the descriptions of the various types of cables Ricable we find that a technique called: Ricable Noise Reduction is used, which translated means: noise reduction system Ricable. And what is used to do this? A germanium semiconductor (i.e., transistor). This state-of-the-art technical device allows it to make a difference with a "classic" cable. In installations of a certain value, the difference is striking! After clearing my head as to why there is such a relevant difference, I went back to Mr. Sergio and bought, without trying them out, three power cables, two INTERCONNECT cables and one Speaker cable (speakers). Having a limited budget, I did not buy the blue ones, but the yellow-orange ones.

I was theoretically sure they would be just fine (maybe!). With trepidation I replaced them with mine and began listening with my reference files. I will say right away that it went great! The differences with the blues are there and could not be otherwise; but they are "noble" level differences. For example definition and accuracy of the mid-high frequencies is unattainable. The delicate gilding of the striking of the brushes on the drum cymbals diminishes a little with Dedalus. These are all in all acceptable differences given the price. Lifting the power cord one can immediately perceive the quality of the material: the cord weighs! And not a little.

The Schuko plug and IEC socket are of excellent quality and solidity. The speaker connections are secure and you have to apply a little effort to insert them into the appropriate holes. And so I changed the cables again! Hopefully the technology of these "things" will not change too quickly!
