La seguente recensione dei cavi Magnus Speaker MKII e XLR è il frutto dell’iniziativa “Ricable Review”. Ricable Review è il programma ideato da Ricable, nato per raccogliere feedback dagli audiofili, al fine di portare a un continuo miglioramento dei prodotti presenti nel catalogo. After a good review at alpha-audio.net and a desciption that suited me (good soundstage and transparency). My first order was the Magnus Speaker cable but I was hesitating since I have heard that speaker cables does not change the sound that much. Anyway I took a chance and I was suprised about the result. 3D soundstage and clarity raised a my music system to another presentation. Not a small change. After this I decided to replace my old XLR signal cable as well. More transparency and soundstage as well and somehow more intense and at the same time more relaxing way or musical. Very happy with this quit cheap way to upgrade my sound in this crazy expensive hobby.
and aesthetics of the product?
The packaging was nice and compact and the product gave me a solid quality impression. Cables are flexible so the installation was easy. Fast and quick delivery via FedEx. The material and details feels nice and seems to be solid built. The packaging was compact and easy to store for the future.
I let the cabels run in first with some FM radio for a few hours, then I run the test tracks (see below) that I know well at different volume settings. Then I repeat this for a couple of days. At night at low listning volumes it is important that my system works and that is a good test fo a compete system.
listening impressions?
Key Largo with Boris Blank is one of my test tracks for dynamics and soundstage. The hight of the sound of the airplane was much higher in the beginning of the song. Dynamics was nice and very good intesity.
What God Wants, Part I with Roger Water. Another track for soundstage test, excellent soundstage almost surronds you.
Porto – Leo Nocta. Beautiful piano music. Piano is tough to get good, tone here is the best I heard.
Check (reprise) – Aimee Mann. I use this to test imaging and this image is very stable and clear.
Redemption Song – Jesuton. Female voice test track. Very good.
No Love Dying – Gregory Porter. Male voice test track. Very good.
Your conclusions.
Very satisfied with the sound, more bang for the bucks is hard to find I believe. I was most impressed with the speaker cable but the signal cable improved further. My previous cables have not been cheap cables but from known brands. Now I wonder what the more expensive cables can offer. Anyway I can recommend these cables 100% very big value for money.

Dopo una buona recensione su alpha-audio.net e una descrizione che mi si addiceva (buon scena sonora e trasparenza). Il mio primo ordine è stato il cavo per altoparlanti Magnus, ma esitavo perché ho sentito che i cavi per altoparlanti non cambiano molto il suono. Comunque ho colto l’occasione e sono rimasto sorpreso dal risultato. Il palcoscenico 3D e la chiarezza hanno portato il mio sistema musicale a un’altra presentazione. Non un piccolo cambiamento. Successivamente ho deciso di sostituire anche il mio vecchio cavo di segnale XLR. Più trasparenza e scena sonora, in qualche modo più intensa e allo stesso tempo più rilassante o musicale. Sono molto soddisfatto di questo modo piuttosto economico di migliorare il mio suono in questo hobby pazzesco e costoso.
e dell’estetica del prodotto?
La confezione era bella e compatta e il prodotto mi ha dato un’impressione di solida qualità. I cavi sono flessibili quindi l’installazione è stata semplice. Consegna veloce e rapida tramite FedEx. Il materiale e i dettagli sono belli e sembrano essere solidi. La confezione era compatta e facile da riporre per il futuro.
Lascio prima rodare i cavi con un po’ di radio FM per alcune ore, poi eseguo le tracce di prova (vedi sotto) che conosco bene a diverse impostazioni di volume. Poi lo ripeto per un paio di giorni. Di notte, con volumi di ascolto bassi, è importante che il mio sistema funzioni e questo è un buon test per un sistema competitivo.

Key Largo con Boris Blank è uno dei miei brani di prova per dinamica e scena sonora. L’altezza del rumore dell’aereo era molto più alta all’inizio della canzone. La dinamica era piacevole e l’intensità era molto buona.
What God Wants, Part I con Roger Water. Un’altra traccia per il test sul palcoscenico, un palcoscenico eccellente ti circonda quasi.
Porto – Leo Nocta. Bella musica per pianoforte. Il pianoforte è difficile da ottenere bene, il tono qui è il migliore che ho sentito.
Check (reprise) – Aimee Mann. Lo uso per testare l’imaging e questa immagine è molto stabile e chiara.
Redemption Song – Jesuton. Traccia di prova per la voce femminile. Molto bene.
No Love Dying – Gregory Porter. Traccia di prova per la voce maschile. Molto bene.
Le tue conclusioni.
Molto soddisfatto del suono, credo che sia difficile trovare un rapporto qualità/prezzo migliore. Sono rimasto molto colpito dal cavo dell’altoparlante, ma il cavo del segnale è migliorato ulteriormente. I miei cavi precedenti non erano cavi economici ma di marche conosciute. Ora mi chiedo cosa possano offrire i cavi più costosi. Ad ogni modo posso consigliare questi cavi al 100% con un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
