However, the number one enemy is 'noise', i.e. the set of unexpected and unwanted signals that our equipment handles as sound and therefore amplifies and reproduces in the music we listen to.
AES/EBU is a standard format for digital audio, used to interface different devices with each other. In Hi-Fi, it is mainly used to connect digital sources (CD players, Streamers, etc.) to the DAC. Some high level devices enjoy the possibility of connection with a balanced 110 Ohm XLR cable, which improves transmission performance compared to the classic RCA coaxial or BNC.
Thanks to its unique design, Dedalus AES/EBU will give you a precise transmission with the tonal balance you are looking for. The digital signal will be transported protected from interference and in a linear manner, so that your equipment will dialogue naturally. The reproduced sound will be silent, with more correct and faithful dynamics.
Conductor +70% compared to OFC: 0.45 mm2 conductors made of 7N MARC Copper (Multicore Annealed Ricable Conductor) with strands 0.08 mm smoother and more compact surface allowing 70% better audio transmission than OFC Copper.
30% Copper Connectors vs. BRASS: Neutrik's top-of-the-line XLR connectors, specially modified for Dedalus XLR cables, feature 24K Gold-plated pure Copper contacts. With these connectors there is an improvement in electrical parameters of over 30% compared to common brass connectors.
All the technical and construction measures have a very precise aim at Dedalus AES/EBU: to maintain impeccable neutrality while allowing your equipment to reveal its true quality, as colouring the signal is the antithesis of the quest for sound faithful to the original.
Balanced geometry with triple copper/aluminium/magnesium shielding for EMI/RFI interference and a corded conductor with crankpin detorsion. The insulating materials used are derived from Invictus, with special polyethylenes, in order to reduce electrical capacitance and resistance and to guarantee an impedance of 110 Ohm.
This Hi-Fi cable is made by hand, in an artisanal way, so we can also produce it in custom lengths, exactly as you would like it for your system.
