I saw some YouTube videos that excellently reviewed Ricable cables and wanted to try the RCAs from the Primus line, the company's website is clear and explanatory. Mainly I had a need to mitigate hum problems in the speakers with the original base cable. Certain of excellent quality from an Italian company that has been in the business for many years.
and aesthetics of the product?
The product certainly looks very good and you can sense the quality of workmanship. The packaging is very aesthetically pleasing and everything is impeccable. One can sense from touch alone the goodness of the materials used and the quality of the cable and connectors, the difference with the original signal cables is abysmal.
I immediately mounted the new cables and did an initial test without starting the turntable but only turning it on and gradually turning up the volume to hear any hum. Then I put on an LP and the first impressions were confirmed by the cleaner and more genuine sound. Varying from rock music to jazz and Italian pop music, one notices a cleaner sound.
listening impressions?
The hum is drastically decreased compared to the original base cables, and the sound is undoubtedly smoother and without noise. It is clear that the quality of the cable shielding does its job very well. The bass band seems to me more full-bodied and the treble more defined. The difference in quality is especially tangible on rock records with pronounced bass; the soundstage is wide and well-defined without the boring noise I had previously with the original Technics cables. In all likelihood pairing these cables with a power supply from the same company will succeed in further alleviating the annoying current hum.
Your conclusions.
In conclusion, the RCA cables Ricable Primus Signal, although they are the company's entry level, are an excellent product that goes a long way toward improving the listening quality of one's Hi-Fi system without any doubt and is worth every penny spent. In the near future I also plan to augment my system with Speaker and especially power cables.
