What made you choose Ricable?

Looking for a set of definitive (speaker, signal) cables, I chose to try this Italian product, due in part to the excellent reviews I read. The Elite cables with their jumpers replaced an American brand cable, while the USB cable Magnus replaced the classic USB cable. Contacted Ricable directly and I got what I ordered in a short time ... nothing to say, indeed ...

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics
of the product?

It has to be said that once I opened the packaging (finally packaging worthy of the name), I immediately noticed the care of the packaging. After that, attention shifts to the cable...well, what can I say, if nothing else the build quality is immediately apparent, well made, the perceived quality is high, very good.

How did you carry out the tests? What tracks did you use to test the cable?

I listened to a number of tracks on both CD and vinyl, tracks I always like to listen to, very well made in terms of recording quality. First the system played with the "old" cables after that with the new Elite ones, the almost instantaneous replacement allowed me a higher evaluation. This operation I repeated twice with five tracks, two live and three studio recordings.

What were your
listening impressions?

At the end of the listening session, the assessment was this: compared to before there is more micro contrast and detail over the entire range, there is no more bass or treble, but the quality of these can be heard. The bass has gained more roundness and sharpness, the same for the mid-high range where voices, such as drum cymbals (for example), are more perceptible due to greater detail. In short, the sum of these "small" perceived details make a richer, fuller sound that increases the final quality ... really good.
Also good is the USB cable Magnus, connected to the DAC from the iMac i5 with Audirvāna software. Excellent signal transmission with a length of 6 m.

Your conclusions.

Recommend this cable? I would say yes, absolutely. The difference is there, very much so. It is an expense to consider before you even change your electronics, you can have some nice surprises that allow you to appreciate what you have more.
It is a very revealing cable, but "gentle," not shooting frequencies but making you hear them in the right way. My next upgrade will be toward coaxial and XLR cable, again from the line Dedalus. As I see it, it has a very high quality/price ratio.
