Magnus Speaker MKII Gerard
Magnus Speaker MKII Gerard

Magnus Speaker MKII Gerard
Magnus Speaker MKII Gerard

What made you choose Ricable?

I ordered on a site about 1 year ago RCA cables from Ricable (a brand I did not know). Since they gave me complete satisfaction, I went to their site when I wanted to find new cables for my speakers and discovered their different series of products.
I first ordered Primus Speaker MKII and was so pleasantly surprised by the result that I had them swap them (kudos for their trade-in formula) and ordered Magnus Speaker MKII.

Magnus Speaker MKII Gerard
Magnus Speaker MKII Gerard
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The cables are delivered in very nice packaging, which already gives an indication of the seriousness of the company.
Their construction is very neat with a very nice look and finish and especially a welcome flexibility (because my old cables were stiffer).
The banana plugs are obviously of very high quality and provide good contact with the amplifier and speaker connectors.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I have several speaker brand demonstration CDs and I listen to jazz, blues, classical and many other genres of music.
I have listened again to among my best CDs, Jazznavour, ASA live at the Bataclan, Beth Hart live in New York, Buddy Guy, Eric BIBB, classical music concerts, Fado, etc.

Magnus Speaker MKII Gerard
Magnus Speaker MKII Gerard
What were your
listening impressions?

I had cables from well-known brands and thought I knew my CDs and SACDs well, especially the demonstration ones. I realized that there are instruments that I had never heard distinctly, hearts (voices) that are more present as well as microdetails, the instruments sound much more "real."
I really feel that we have added sounds and effects that I had not perceived before. I also noticed a wider stage and more depth which obviously makes live concerts more real.

Your conclusions.

These Magnus Speaker MKII have greatly benefited my installation, and the music becomes even more compelling to me because it is more realistic. Thanks again to Ricable for their great quality products.
I am already taking advantage of these excellent cables and as Ricable takes delivery of the cables for an upgrade, I plan to refill my piggy bank if possible in several months by considering the purchase of the Dedalus Speaker Elite (they must be terrible, I'm never going to leave my station again...).

What made you choose Ricable?

I met Ricable by chance while searching for quality audio cables on the web. What I wanted was the best in terms of quality/price. I wanted to try the products Ricable intrigued by the presentation of the products on the Ricable website itself . I was surprised by the build and audio quality, proof that quality is made by passion, not price!

Magnus Power
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

Immediately from the packaging you can feel the quality of the product. Excellent build quality. Careful aesthetics. Nice to look at (Italian design is always recognizable!), you can tell the care with which these products were made, both to the touch and visually. The connectors are very nice, they fit very well. All this attention to detail catches the eye and lets you feel the passion of this company in making its products.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I tried these cables while listening to different CDs and LPs. I love different genres of music, among which I prefer rock, hard rock and especially metal in all its genres. CDs and LPs used for the test: Ben Harper, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, PFM, Pink Floyd, Megadeth, Faith No More, to name a few.
The Dedalus Speakers give the feeling of a warm, dynamic, detailed sound. High level cables for high level acoustic speakers!
The Primus Speakers (much more moderately priced) purchased for my next surround speakers give the same feeling, but obviously being a product intended for those taking their first steps into the real world of Hi-Fi, the dynamics and details are more restrained.
The Netzkabel Magnus offers a more stable and lively sound, compared to a traditional Netzkabel (no comparison!).
The Netzkabel Dedalus (considering the higher level of sources it is intended for) offers more naturalness, warmth. It goes up a level not only in price.

Cable review Vincenzo

What were your
listening impressions?

I was struck by the precision, detail, dynamics, warmth, and fullness that these cables can express, all indistinctly. The tracks heard came through directly, with a wide soundstage. They give body to the protagonists of the soundstage. Well sounding.
In the past I have had the opportunity to listen to other higher cost cables, which is very easy in the world of Hi-Fi, but these cables I can say without any doubt that they sound not only as good, but better. Value for money, I believe, is paramount, and the Ricable products are proof of that. They enthuse from the first listen.

Your conclusions.

In the past I've listened to cables you'd have to sell yourself an organ to buy! Ricable is able to offer impact and quality at much lower prices, this makes these products and of course the company itself that made them great. I recommend listening to the cables Ricable! I also own QED and Van den Hul cables and am glad to have included in my system Ricable which I consider more than up to the mark in terms of detail and naturalness of sound considering the same price range.

The following Feedback was created on the basis of a predefined questionnaire to which the user returned his impressions, in a completely free. We thank Salvo for his time.

What made you choose Ricable?

From online research and encouraged by the positive reviews of other users, I initially purchased the Speaker cables also from Ricable, but the Custom ones, i.e., the H6S, which I finished myself. Having had a very good result and convinced that, with those INTERCONNECT, it would have been better, having purchased them directly assembled from the manufacturer, I opted for the Magnus, which in my opinion align with the range of my system. Mostly, I had the opportunity to buy them, again on the site of Ricable, in the "used guaranteed" section and took advantage of it.

Magnus Signal
Salvo Review Magnus Signal
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The product is beautifully and elegantly made. The cable is of good thickness, with a very pleasant finish to the touch. The terminations are distinctive, with a screw lock, which allows a good connection with electronics. It is very flexible and conveys a feeling of quality both to the touch and to the eye.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

Musical genres range from jazz to country to rock, specifically Diana Krall, Katie Melua, Youn Sun Nah, Mark Knopfler, Pink Floyd. The test was done with the classic stick-and-go method. I first broke in the electronics, listened carefully to several songs well known to my ear, and repeated listening, especially to certain passages of some songs, where I tried to detect differences.

Salvo Review Magnus Signal
Magnus Signal
What were your
listening impressions?

I come from the previous cable which is a WireWorld Luna 8, which I must say was already a good solution. But from the comparison with the Ricable I found multiple differences. The first impression is that of having a superior "transparency" with the Ricable. That is, the sound is much "clearer" and more detailed, with a more distinct top end, but without having any kind of harshness.
I had the impression described in a review read some time before, for another cable Ricable, which said that, it is as if I had a painting on which there was a veil of opacity, which the cable Ricable removed.
The midrange, in reference to the voices, is more "centered" and less harsh in the treble. The low frequencies are where I had the least change, but still in some tracks, I perceive more control.

Your conclusions.

As all audiophiles well know, on cables there are extremists of both factions, the cable-skeptics and the "cavophiles." I with my little experience have formed the idea, that a cable certainly will not be able to make a bad-sounding system sound good. But related to the cost of the electronics, and placed in contexts where every detail makes a difference, they can improve the little that makes a setup better.
In conclusion, a well-crafted cable with excellent performance. I recommend the purchase of the cables Ricable, which boast the much flaunted and proud Made in Italy. Finally, I want to emphasize the helpfulness of the customer service and courtesy in recommending the right solution.

What made you choose Ricable?

I never had important cables, always been skeptical, then reading reviews in the web and especially because we talk about products Made in Italy I wanted to try and the choice fell on the series Magnus after a consultation with the chat of Ricable. Based on my system I was recommended the series Magnus.

Magnus Speaker
Review Magnus Domenico
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

Serious and sturdy packaging, soft and pliable cables despite the mighty tonnage, I dare not imagine what the Invictusseries might be ... well, anyway, a top-notch product. I spent a third of the cost of the system, but I am satisfied and proud to be able to show off the Magnus series to friends who spend varied listening moments with me.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I simply gouged out the stock cables of the electronics and the old Speaker G&BL cables. The listening test was done with Telarc test CDs, mostly jazz music and ranking little rock, but because it is not in my musical taste, and still very sharp and well paced loud rock.

Review Magnus Domenico
What were your
listening impressions?

I listened to my reference pieces very carefully: impressive and present Diana Krall's voice and all female voices in general, Mina resounding. Very real the breath of the wind instruments... Albinoni's Adagio fabulous, the very low organ frequencies of Bach's Toccata and Fugue invade the body making the skin vibrate as if I were at an auditorium concert. Mark Knopfler's guitar real especially in the album track On Every Street, You and Your Friend, the precise midrange and the singer always taking center stage.

Your conclusions.

Since my first Telefunken system, I was 11 years old, now I am 55, former cable skeptic who had to change his mind ... I can say that these cables Ricable have given value and importance to my system. I hope, when my finances allow, to upgrade to the Invictus series especially the power cables, which are quite expensive.

The following Feedback was created on the basis of a predefined questionnaire to which the user returned their impressions, in a manner completely free. We thank Ermanno for his time.

What made you choose Ricable?

I had heard of Ricable but for sheer economics I was driven to buy other brands of which for a variety of reasons I was not satisfied. Having to get a coaxial cable to connect a DAC headphone amp I knew I needed quality. Starting with the ease of ordering on the excellent site to the speed of delivery, I can say that I am extremely satisfied.
In addition, the cable is aesthetically beautiful. Having the system in a fancy room where I will be moving to, it doesn't hurt, in addition to the obvious quality. Slowly I think I will also replace other cables with Ricable, I hope all Magnus.

Review Ermanno Magnus Coaxial
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

Solid, beautiful workmanship, appropriate colors. Connectors are the best I have seen so far. Had bad experience with world brand connectors. Not comparable to other cables purchased in haste looking only at fame and arrived with obscene colors like deep yellow and with blatant inferior quality. Even the packaging has its why and is beautifully presented.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

Connected cables with different sources d amplifiers, always solid state integrated. Tried same tracks with:

  • Thorens Turntable
  • Emotiva and Marantz CD Player
  • Accuphase Amplifiers, Hegel, Rotel
  • Bluesound NODE 3 Streamer

I evaluated, by replacing cables, whether the reproduction changed, and to my surprise, it did. More soundstage and detail. I'm sorry I couldn't try with a tube, but I think the result would have been great anyway.

Review Ermanno Magnus Coaxial
What were your
listening impressions?

I do not have the necessary experience and I am still a novice, despite my age, however, I can say that having tried as I described above equipment that had power supply, coax and RCA Ricable the sound has definitely changed positively, I would say especially on clarity, bass roundness and warmth, especially using a friend's Accuphase amp connected with Ricable. Women's voices compared to my Hegel are much warmer, a bass that goes all the way in--into the belly. The two friends who are much more experienced than me confirmed the positive impressions, and one of them, who is fixated on American brand of cables, although he remained convinced of the superiority of his chosen brand, admitted that I could spend less than him to get equal or very similar results.

Your conclusions.

As a quality/price ratio, in my experience, it is difficult to surpass Magnus... I wanted to listen to myself in taking the next step up from the entry level cable proposed on the site, which I think is also the one that is already superior to the competition that I would like to mention, but I do not think it is correct. I would also plan to change cables Speaker . After experience with the Magnus, once I evaluate how to arrange the system in new room, they will be the first I will consider.

What made you choose Ricable?

The choice to equip myself with good cables Speaker for my system was due to the quest to optimize my system that previously saw the amplifier connected to the speakers with Supra Cable 2×4 mmq cables and banana plugs. Having seen good reviews on the web of this product enticed me to try it, and also thanks to Audio Impact's technical input, I was able to see not only the aesthetic quality of the product but also its sound quality.

Review Danilo Magnus Speaker
Review Danilo Magnus Speaker
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

As mentioned above, the product presents itself at first glance with a quality of materials that leave the beginner audiophile like me speechless. I had some perplexity at first in inserting the banana plugs into the electronics but thanks to the help of the technical support I brilliantly solved the doubts of the first moment. I had already had a chance to see the product on some YouTube channels but live I also reported the same positive impression, of course they are not in the same category as theInvictus but in that case we are talking about product for really top of the line electronics.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I did not use any particular products for testing because I am not familiar with them, I trusted what many people consider to be the best system for evaluating an audio system, which is one's own ears. Of course, I am aware that the room where the system is present also helps to generate the acoustics, but I have to say that, all things being equal, I found the timbral response to be much better.

Review Danilo Magnus Speaker
Review Danilo Magnus Speaker
What were your
listening impressions?

As mentioned earlier, the listening quality seemed to me immediately improved also and especially by virtue of a chain of cables from Ricable that connect the audio sources to the amplifier, also from the Magnus series : the coaxial cable with which I connect the CD player to the streamer and the balanced XLR cable from the streamer to the amplifier. I must say that I am very satisfied with this choice and the price paid for the product repays the investment. I am now patiently waiting to complete some break-in and fully enjoy the sonic power of these cables.

Your conclusions.

I must say that the product has not only been visually satisfying for me but has also given luster to the electronics that make up my system. Certainly we are not talking about High-End devices, but in their context they play an important role at least for the kind of music I listen to. Then time will tell if it was true glory.

Review Primus Speaker Jose

Tus conclusiones.

  • primero por el equipo online, que te asesora sobre las dudas que puedas tener del cable o las recomendaciones para elegir el cable que mejor se ajusta a tu equipo Hi-Fi;
  • Por la seriedad y la rapidez de la entrega;
  • por la calidad del material y la construcción de los cables;

Both the packaging in which the product is shipped, and the construction of the cable, which seems sturdy, and with a very good quality finish and outstanding product aesthetics, of high-end cables where little else can be said, no, there is nothing to criticize about these speaker cables, all of which are very well cared for and treated.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

The improvement was substantial, I changed some KabelDirekt brand cables that were connected stripped and the sound change really improved a lot. The test was done with a Denon PMA-800NE amplifier, and the sources were a Dual DTJ 301.1 USB turntable (with AT-VMN95E audio-technical needle), a Denon DCD-800NE CD player, and a Denon DNP-800NE network player.

When I was talking to Ruud van Omera in Vlaardingen (the Netherlands) about cables for my new set, he came up with Ricable. I had never heard of it, but Ruud indicated that they are high quality cables for a reasonable price. In the end, it turned out to be the icing on the cake. I have speaker cables and an extension cable for my headphones and I don't regret it for a second. They definitely add value to my set and my headphones. With other brands you pay much, much more for the same quality.

What do you think about the construction
and the aesthetics of the product?

Ruud showed me and I felt the speaker cables and I was immediately impressed. They look fantastic, make a solid impression and make you feel like you are using cables that are many times more expensive. The banana plugs are of good quality and the workmanship is really very good. The extension cable is also fantastic and feels very solid. The packaging has also been thought through and there you can also see the typical Italian craftsmanship.

How did you carry out the tests? What songs did you use to test the cable?

I bought the speaker cables without listening on the advice of Ruud and was therefore a bit of a gamble. When I had connected them to my new set at home, I let the whole set play for about 30 hours without listening properly. After these 30 hours I sat down and the combination as it is at home sounds really fantastic. All components come into their own and reinforce each other.
The extension cable for my headphones is really great. When I first got the Focal Elegia I only played with the supplied 1.20 m cable from Focal. When I put in the Ricable extension cable and started listening I was quite surprised. It was more depth and detail in the music. It sounded even more balanced.I am really happy with these purchases.

What were yours
listening impressions?

My taste in music is very diverse. From light jazz, soft pop, blues, soul, rock and everything that comes close to it. I particularly prefer the 60s, 70s, 80s and early 90s of the last century. I listened a lot to my set and also a lot with my headphones. Both with great pleasure, it really sounds great. In the beginning I listened a lot to You and Your Friend by the Dire Straits and WOW what sounds good. Lots of details, depth and the atmosphere was well displayed. In the beginning I listened a lot to the song Leipe Shit Ouwe! from Bl3nder. Bl3nder is a collaboration between the Bas van Lier trio and Def P. Swinging jazz and a rapper. It's a band from Amsterdam and it's in Dutch but go and listen 🙂 So good, it's not normal. This song contains a lot of bass that is played by a double bass, something that can be difficult for an installation, but it really sounds great.
Slowly I started to listen more and more to other music such as Marcus Miller, Al Jarreau and Steve Gadd. I was getting happier and happier. When I later turned on Roger Waters and Eva Cassidy, the smile on my face only got bigger. It is a modest set that I have but it is all right. I couldn't get better for the money I spent. Open, clear and neutral sound that fills my living room with a warm blanket of music. I'm very satisfied.

Your conclusions.

Of course there are many other cables on the market, but if you are looking for high quality cables for an affordable price that also look good, I can really recommend any Ricable. The price-quality ratio is really great. I would therefore like to thank Ruud van Omera for recommending Ricable. If I ever upgrade my set, I will definitely think of Ricable when it comes to cables.

What made you choose Ricable?

Having an entry level system, the supplied cables were not the best in quality, so I followed the advice of a friend of mine who has known you for some time and visited your site and was impressed by both the quantity of products and the various price ranges present. I therefore decided to purchase the components I wanted.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The cables are very nice and the finish is respectable, you can see with pleasure that they are made with maniacal care and that they have nothing to envy to the most emblazoned and expensive brands, I am not surprised by the lifetime warranty. Additional note in no small part they are made in Italy!

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I like all genres of music, so both vinyl and CDs not to mention digital albums, I own a lot of music... as a litmus test I decided to listen to my music both on vinyl and from the PC that I know very well with the old cables after which I installed the new ones... needless to say I heard the difference immediately!

I'll start by saying that I immediately listened to my favorite vinyls and it immediately jumped to my ears a great amount of detail that was not noticeable before not to mention a very clean and dynamic sound, nothing to do with the rather flat and muffled one before... then I played from PC other albums that I have in excellent format and here too I was very satisfied with the result, it almost seems to listen to other songs! I am talking about both instrumental and electronic music in both listenings.

Your conclusions.

I am thrilled with my purchases and can do nothing but recommend Ricable to everyone because, in addition to the quality, both a novice listener and a veteran of Hi-Fi find the product that suits them, without spending astronomical sums you have truly respectable cables... rated 10 at Ricable!

What made you choose Ricable?

I needed two 1m long RCA cables. I was looking for a good compromise for my mediocre little system without spending a fortune. Given the thick jungle that exists in this sector, I did some research on the web with acquaintances and enthusiasts and, after a careful search, I chose Ricable Magnus .

Magnus Signal Vincenzo

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

At first glance, I liked the packaging alone. Then inside the legendary Magnus wrapped and held in place by Velcro... simply fantastic. Let's talk about the pins: once inserted and screwed they are still! I really liked the quality of the outer cover. Then I had a problem with the courier: I immediately contacted Ricable and they solved the problem in five minutes. Absolute helpfulness.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I wanted to compare them with other cables, but I couldn't because I have the power amps in a closed cabinet, so it is very complicated to unplug and re-plug them. So I just listened to my favourite tracks like the legendary Rachelle Ferrell, Dire Straits and Pink Floyd.

Magnus Signal

What were your
listening impressions?

I listened to my usual albums I described above. Especially in the mid-to-highs, much more stage presence and slightly clearer tones. Not to mention Mark Knopfler's voice or guitar... It's a real treat. I don't know if it's suggestion, but I think I've made a quantum leap with my system and probably, little by little, if I have the chance, I'll change all the cables of my system starting from the cables Speaker up to the power cables.

Your conclusions.

In conclusion, I was very pleased with my purchase. In my own small way I wanted a quality cable without spending a fortune, and I succeeded with Ricable Magnus . I hope in the future to make the leap to a higher quality model, but I am already very satisfied with this one.

Reasonable cost, cables for real enthusiasts with the only purpose of improving their system without spending absurd amounts of money, Ricable I found it through Google. Giving me the impression of a serious company and reading here and there the various positive reviews, I decided to buy the Netzkabel amplifier. High-level packaging that already makes it clear that you will find a niche product.

Beautiful visual aesthetics ... they are beautiful cables to see, touch and feel, as they say the eye wants its part, for the true fans becomes a boast to show friends a nice cable in their system, attractive aesthetics, connectors very well made and with a secure grip. The cables are very big but don't frighten, they bend well and can be inserted without problems.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I listen to my system with the cable, and I hear the differences before and after, in my opinion there are no analysers, sophisticated instruments or anything else. Sure they help the system, but the only real instrument is your ear and when you enjoy listening to your system it is the best test.

Review Alexander Magnus Power

What were your
listening impressions?

Differences that can be clearly heard from the first listen. Larger soundstage, more detail, less listening fatigue. The most important point: the bass part, which remained present but with more modulation. I have performed tests with classical, jazz, blues, rock music and the listening is always pleasant, there is never any tiredness. The silence of the stand-by is no longer corrupted by the annoying buzzing that used to haunt me. All this gives me the impression of having turned up the volume slightly, but it is only a sensation, the greater effect is that you have a totally new system.

Your conclusions.

I would definitely recommend this brand for many reasons, but the first is the price. Quality cables at reasonable prices without selling out or selling your car to buy cables for your system. And not to mention that they are very Italian cables, which is another reason to buy them.

What made you choose Ricable?

I was told about them by an enthusiast friend of mine who had bought the Primus and said he had noticed the difference from the previous cables. I was intrigued and immediately explored the Ricable website and was pleasantly impressed. I read all the descriptions of the cables in question, in particular the components, the thickness of the various materials and I was pleasantly impressed by the quality of the material used to make the final contacts (the plugs) that go into the speakers and, at the end, considering my stereo system, I opted for the Magnus cable which I thought was the most suitable for my type of system.

Review Mario Magnus Speaker
Review Mario Magnus Speaker
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

I was looking for very flexible and of course very good quality cables, as one of them had to go from one wall to the other since one of the speakers was far from the amp and had to fit flush along the wall separating it from the system in question; well, I have to say that despite the length and size of the cable (1.5 cm diameter) I was able to connect the cable with ease following the contours of the wall. What's more, it gives a feeling of sturdiness and solidity.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

To compare it with the previous cables I based my comparison on listening to both jazz, classical and pop/rock music (my favourite). I then tried to listen to these with the different listening filters in my CD player. I used both regular CDs and SACDs, both classical and rock.

What were your
listening impressions?

I started listening with a jazz classic that is very dear to me, Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. What can I say? Not that I couldn't hear it well before, but now I could almost be there. The sound was crisp and clear, even the sound of the brushes and the cymbals of the drums was crystal clear, not to mention the full-bodied but never intrusive or exuberant bass. I then moved on to Bach and the listening was smooth and crisp. Finally, I listened to Santana and Springsteen on SACD. I was delighted, I don't know what else to add.

Your conclusions.

The cable Magnus MKII has excellently satisfied all my most rosy expectations. It is really a revelation and then, if I have to say it all, I am very happy and proud to have in Italy an electronics factory at the same level of the foreigners and even better. I repeat: the performance is exceptional, but what won me over was the clarity of the sound that makes each instrument stand out from the other, managing even in the most "noisy" rock pieces TO DISTINGUISH CLEARLY.

What made you choose Ricable?

I got to know Ricable a few years ago, on the forums, and everyone spoke highly of it, so I decided to buy the cables Speaker Magnus first. What can I say, difference immediately perceived at the first track compared to other cables I had (like QED and Supra). Great cables, more open soundstage and good bass control. Then I needed a good cable for the DAC, I wondered if a simple USB cable could make a difference... well, yes, the difference is clear, also here the soundstage seems very well composed, treble well present and some more microinformation, yes, it's there, so for me it remains the definitive cable without spending crazy amounts of money.

Review Magnus USB Vincenzo
Review Magnus USB Vincenzo
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

It is a good handcrafted product, and made with care, you can see it from the packaging when you open it. The construction is impeccable, the quality of the materials used the result of four shields, in my opinion this is what makes the difference. The aesthetics of the cable as always impeccable, well-made and very pleasant to the touch, the cable arrived in a beautiful box, with very comprehensive instructions. Excellent for both the connectors and the cable itself. And pleasing to the eye, looking at it I could see why it was so expensive. Real value, quality and definition. There is better, but you really have to spend a lot of money, which I don't think is the case.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

The test was done by connecting my DAC only as a preamp to the power amp with the cable Ricable, and one I already had. Vice versa afterwards I connected them to the pure preamp. Needless to say that with the old cable I had the difference was very audible from the first connection with just the DAC, then with the preamp the listening pleasure became even more palpable, I am satisfied.

Magnus USB
Review Magnus USB Vincenzo
What were your
listening impressions?

Well, the impressions were positive, after two or three tracks that I listen to frequently, I could see how good this cable was with the old one I had. Certainly the quality of the materials used. Magnus USB is equipped with four shields, maybe here is the difference, good microdynamics, a little more microdetails, they are nuances, but they are all there, and only a good cable well built can give them. With this Magnus it seems that the sound has opened up, all the instruments are in their place, really fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone using a DAC and PC connection.

Your conclusions.

To sum up, this is a good cable without spending crazy amounts of money, of course there is always something more, but in my environment, with my electronics, it sounded good. In truth, my whole system is wired Ricable, but the connection with my computer was connected with a quality cable but it gave me some little problems like buzzing and discharge, so I had the chance to try this cable. I chose this company again because I really like the care of the products and especially the care towards the customer. Ah, I forgot, let's not forget the lifetime warranty that Ricable offers to all the products on sale in the catalogue, and that's no small thing.

Although I already have a good USB cable, having read several positive opinions about the products Ricable, I wanted to try one. I think everyone listens differently, the parameters of evaluation are inevitably subjective, so I chose to let my personal taste be the judge of that. The user reviews posted on the site also had their weight in making me choose to try. I also appreciated the attentive and helpful attitude towards the customer. Cherry on the cake: the really fast delivery.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

I'm not an audiophile and I have no technical knowledge, but my personal and debatable impressions are the following: the construction and the aesthetics are very good, they give the impression of a refined and quality product. Also the packaging is of high quality: I consider it an adequate packaging, well made, but without useless excesses, also because the packaging has nothing to do with the sound performance. I have also appreciated very much the ease of use of the product, since the robustness of the cable does not compromise in any way its handiness. Substantial cable, but not rigid.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

Foreword: I repeat, I am not an audiophile, but I love listening to music and I like to listen to it well, with a reasonable compromise between my ideal of "well sounding" and my budget. I listen only to liquid music, all my CDs have been ripped to FLAC, and I also stream from Qobuz with a Studio Sublime subscription (at Qobuz I also purchase albums in HD audio). The listening tests were done using the USB cable Ricable for several days instead of a foreign competitor's cable, placed in the same price range and which I had been using for quite some time. For the tests I used my system dedicated to headphone listening only (for that with speakers, we will see in the future). These are the tracks used for testing:

  • John Mayer, Gravity, 24/96
  • Kiss, Calling Dr. Love, 24/192
  • Michael Jackson, The Girl Is Mine, 24/176
  • Lady Gaga, Plastic Doll, 24/44
  • Dua Lipa, Pretty Please, 24/44
  • Sam Smith, Dance ('Til You Love Someone Else), 24/44
  • Pino Daniele, Io per lei, 16/44
  • Claudio Baglioni, Io dal mare, 16/44
  • Palaye Royale, Hang On To Yourself, 16/44
  • The Police, Wrapped Around Your Finger, 16/44
  • AC/DC, You Shook Me All Night Long, 24/96
  • Kandace Springs, Breakdown, 24/44
  • Ren Harvieu, Yes Please, 24/48
  • Peter Gabriel, Sledgehammer, 24/96
  • Toto, You Got Me, 16/44

What were your
listening impressions?

I liked the Ricable very much, compared to the cable I used previously I had the impression of a generally fuller sound and a slightly higher sound volume. Correct timbre and a good balance between highs, mids and lows are the characteristics that impressed me most. It is a non-characteristic cable, really neutral, without any 'incorrect' emphasis (if you can use this non-technical term). It is neutral in what I consider to be the positive sense of the word: there are no imbalances or harshness. I find a warm but defined sound, for me very musical, without any fatigue.

Your conclusions.

The differences are not macroscopic, they are nuances, but they made me prefer the USB cable Ricable. A really nice cable, which I decided to leave permanently in my set-up. If this is the basic Ricable USB, I can't help wondering what the Dedalus orInvictus might sound like! Really nice product, well done!

What made you choose Ricable?

I have known Ricable for years as the owner of an HDMI cable that is still perfect today. After listening to a system of a friend who had replaced the cables, I was convinced to change my cables INTERCONNECT to get something more. The reviews on Ricable are always great.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The cable is supplied in a strong and well-maintained cardboard box, the cable has a certain diameter but remains quite soft both to the touch thanks to the fabric sheath that covers it and in handling, it bends quite easily. The connectors are solid but a little hard to fix.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

The test took place on the same tracks of the same SACD before and after the replacement of the cables. The previous cables were OFC copper cables with a generous cross-section, in my possession for about 8, 9 years with which I listened to everything and in my humble opinion had always done their job well.

The test was on the same tracks from the same SACD before and after the cables were replaced. As soon as the cables were replaced, I heard a greater continuity between the mid and high tones, therefore a greater persistence of the sounds and a longer lasting and fuller bass. It almost seems as if the sound becomes three-dimensional! After a period of 'running in' the sound did not change considerably. The listening test was done both live and with headphones, in the second case the improvements are more perceptible.

Your conclusions.

I would never have imagined such a dramatic change for just replacing the RCA cables. Highly recommended for a top level upgrade! The cables really make a difference and the money spent is almost an investment. Gradually you should replace all connections to get the best out of your system.

What made you choose Ricable?

Consulting various proposals on the internet and reading the specifications of the various cables with myriad offers of all prices and materials, in the jungle of the network you risk creating only great confusion, you can find cables from twenty euros to thousands of euros and then you have to find a fixed point. My fixed point was Ricable, a serious company and above all Italian. I chose Ricable because it convinced me the most and because it is Italian.

Ricable Review Magnus Signal
Ricable Review Magnus Signal
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

Impeccable construction, nothing left to chance; the construction detail indicates that the materials used are of the highest level, from the conductors to the insulators. Aesthetically it already gives the feeling of a highly professional product. Even the packaging leaves nothing to chance, the delivery times are very fast and the packaging is well made and shock-proof.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

Disconnected the cables carrying the signal from the Cambridge Audio Magic Plus DAC to the FEZZ Audio Titania amplifier and reconnected them with the cables Ricable Magnus and tried them with reference CDs that I know well, in order to detect the differences in the best way. All the frequencies are well reproduced with an exciting sound detail, you can also hear things that I had never heard before.

Ricable Review Magnus Signal
Ricable Review Magnus Signal
What were your
listening impressions?

Listening to my reference CDs before and after replacing the INTERCONNECT cables with the new cables Ricable Magnus , I immediately noticed more detail throughout the audio range and an additional brilliance to the sound. Signal separation between channels was also much more pronounced. I heard sonic details, such as brushes rubbing against the drum or bells, that I hadn't noticed before. Of course, if there are engraving errors or smudges, you can hear those too. I am very satisfied with this fine product.

Your conclusions.

I would recommend Ricable cables to anyone who wants to improve the sound characteristics of their hi-fi system, even to sceptics who don't believe that cables can be a plus. Of course, the differences can only be heard if you have a good Hi-Fi system. In other words, the cost of cables must be justified by a set of good components upstream. Spending hundreds of euros on cables with electronics that cost less than the cables themselves is perfectly pointless and silly.

What made you choose Ricable?

I chose it in the first place because it is a handmade Italian product. I got to know the company through internet channels like YouTube and Audiofilando. I needed a high performance cable to replace a very thin Chinese cable that was going to be the connection between the headphone amplifier and my Grado SR-80. Once I was informed, I decided to buy it directly from the manufacturer's website, which even offers a lifetime guarantee. I keep it jealously in its case. I call it 'my python' because I wrap it around myself to unroll it!

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

Beautiful to the eye and to the touch it provides a nice feel. The construction is excellent, the cable is thick and the screen-printed connectors Ricable are beautiful and gold-plated. The insulation sleeve produces a beautiful feeling of high craftsmanship with its characteristic grey-white colouring and checkered pattern! When I insert the headphone jacks, the click that is produced is solid and immediate, providing a great feeling of contact.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I connected this cable to a Rega Ear first series headphone amp. I use it for evening listening and when I have time also in the early afternoon. I use it to have an intimate relationship with newly purchased records or for use with Tidal connected to the Onkyo NS-6170 network player! Rarely is it connected to Cambridge Audio, but even with this method the cable doesn't disappoint at all!

What were your
listening impressions?

Since I've been using it, a world has opened up. The soundstage is much more balanced and realistic, I feel involved and at the centre of the music. The treble is never annoying and the bass is well present with any kind of music. I am finally experiencing DSD files and PCM music at its best! I finally feel the music I love, know and the music that I have yet to get to know well have their own place beyond my head, it's a new sensation and difficult to describe, but one that makes the musical stage that this product offers truly unique.

Your conclusions.

I would recommend this cable to everyone, this company that represents an excellence of our Italy and all its products that allow access to many cables for all budgets and for all needs. In conclusion, a cable that will revive the desire to listen to your favourite headphones and isolate you in the wonderful sound that this cable can give you.

What made you choose Ricable?

About four years ago I decided to make a cable upgrade to my system. Ricable I found it via Google. Giving me the impression of a serious company and reading the various positive reviews here and there, I decided to buy the Netzkabel amplifier. Subsequently over the years I also replaced the cables Speaker Custom U40 that I then wired myself. This year, to top it off, I bought the RCA cable for the CD player.

Review Riccardo Magnus Signal
Magnus Signal
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

High-end packaging that already makes it clear that inside you'll find a niche product. Aesthetically beautiful to look at, they certainly give (besides the main motivation: an acoustic improvement) an importance to the system. Good attention to detail. Cable with good flexibility. RCA connectors fit perfectly without any problem, and there's also a clamping device that ensures optimum contact.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

It is always difficult to test upgrades, especially for cables where you don't always hear a huge difference. Then there's the wait to replace the cable. I listened to a live show with the old cables (they were already well-made, not the classic small black ones), and then replaced the cables and listened to the same track again.

Review Riccardo Magnus Signal
Magnus Signal
What were your
listening impressions?

For the test I listened to the track Money from David Gilmour's live album Live at Pompeii, as I find the recording of this album perfect with an extraordinary acoustic. Afterwards (only with cables Ricable) I listened to Fausto Mesolella's Live at Alcatraz and Sting's live album . ..All This Time. I usually try to listen to live records... when you listen to a live album and think you are there at the concert... then you are there! I noticed a warmer sound and more evident bass... Above all, without moving the speakers so as to form an equilateral triangle with the listener (the best method for good listening), I could perfectly hear the singer at the centre of the stage, as if he were in front of me. The sound spreads better in the room.

Your conclusions.

Satisfied, I got a good result; of course they are slight variations but you can hear them; with many small variations you get a better and better sound. Always take into account the system you have. But as they did with me, they will be able to suggest the best cable. Of all the upgrades (talking about cables) this is the one where I felt the difference...

What made you choose Ricable?

It is well known that cable quality is fundamental in a Hi-Fi system; any system, even a Hi-End one, without quality cables, cannot express its real potential. It's like having a super sports car with bad tyres. With this in mind, I decided to invest some money in quality cables. I searched the internet for the various products available on the market and read a few reviews. In my search I found Ricable which, being an Italian brand, immediately got my attention. I carefully read the various features of all their products, from Hi-End to entry level, and in the end I decided to trust them; let's say that the first purchase was a leap in the dark.

Review Roberto Cavi Magnus
Review Roberto Cavi Magnus
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The first thing that struck me once I unwrapped the package was the beautiful box containing the cables, very well cared for, both in terms of graphics and material, in short it is not the usual cardboard box made at a discount. As for the cables, what can I say, they are beautiful to look at and as soon as you take them in your hands you immediately understand the level of construction quality. The connectors are a spectacle, they have an exceptional tightening system, in fact they are equipped with an external shell that before the insertion of the connector has to be unscrewed and then screwed again to tighten the ground rings, really well made.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

Once all the cables were in place and all the necessary connections made, I started my listening test with tracks with a high level recording and that I know perfectly, such as Private Investigations by Dire Straits; I then continued my listening test with tracks that made me appreciate the quality of the bass, such as The Sea by ARY.

What were your
listening impressions?

I must say that I am not an expert and refined audiophile, and I don't think I am up to making a high level review. The only thing I can do is to report what I have perceived with respect to when my system was playing with the cables that are supplied when I bought the various components. The thing that struck me more and that I perceived better was the so-called sound staging, in the sense that now I can better locate from where that instrument or that voice is reproduced, I don't know how to explain, I would say that the scene is more centered.

Your conclusions.

I am very satisfied with my investment. When I bought the cables Ricable, as I have already said, it was a leap in the dark and honestly I was a bit afraid of having spent money in vain, but after listening I breathed a sigh of relief, so much so that soon I will complete my "cable park" by buying the power cables, which are now the only accessories Ricable that I lack.

The following Feedback was created on the basis of a predefined questionnaire to which the user returned their impressions, in a way that was not possible without the help of a surveyor. completely free. We would like to thank Cristiano for his time.

What made you choose Ricable?

I was already familiar with Ricable cables from magazines, websites and various Hi-Fi forums. Furthermore, a dear friend with whom I share this passion bought the entire Dedalus series and, having noticed a clear improvement in his system, I was convinced to buy first the Speaker Primus Speaker cables with the Dedalus jumpers and then the Magnus USB cable.

Ricable Review USB Magnus Cristiano
Magnus USB
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

Right from the packaging you can see the quality and care that the company puts into its products. The outer band protects the box containing the cable, which is tied by a sturdy band with a proud display of the Italian flag. The same is laid on a soft and protective spongy carpet. Already from the heaviness you understand that the product is of quality, the sock and the connections make you understand the maniacal attention that is put into each product.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

Having recently entered the world of liquid music, the Magnus is my first USB cable and, knowing the quality of the Ricable products, I had no doubts about choosing this cable. Subscribing to Tidal with Hi-Fi/Master resolution, I have tested the product with the tracks and artists I know best and whose works I own both on vinyl and CD. In particular The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, Love over Gold by Dire Straits, Trilogy by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Rattle That Lock by David Gilmour and something more robust in the heavy metal sphere.

What were your
listening impressions?

What immediately jumps out at you with Ricable and Magnus USB is the clear and precise soundstage that unfolds before you. Each instrument is clear, separate, perfectly distinguishable and with an exciting depth. The instruments seem to envelop you in a warm and soft embrace. Maybe the bass frequencies are a bit too soft, but that's probably a matter of personal taste. What really astounds are the high frequencies that are softened, almost tamed, with a class of their own.

Your conclusions.

I think that for its workmanship, sound picture and presence the cable has kept all the expectations I had placed in the choice and purchase phase. Furthermore, the lifetime guarantee and the pleasure of buying a product that is, once in a while, one hundred per cent made in Italy, make it a purchase that I warmly recommend.

Reviews on the internet, then real tests done at home by buying one at a time the various cables Ricable, both power and INTERCONNECT. The cables I have are Dedalus, both mains and interconnects, and Magnus, also both mains and interconnects. The cables INTERCONNECT are all RCA, except for an XLR cable connecting the Cambridge Audio CXN.

Review Dedalus Magnus Raffaele
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

Perfectly packaged and very elegant, robust but very flexible cables, both the power and RCA cables, attractive aesthetics, very well made connectors with a secure grip. The cables are very thick but not scary, they bend well and can be inserted into every little nook and cranny without problems.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I had already done a reviewbut the system was not fully wired Ricable and was not the same as now. I changed the Audio Research tube amp from VT60 to VS110 and added another amp, Mark Levinson No 29, previously connected with its original XLR cable on the Carmac preamp side, now replaced with Dedalus RCA cable and Carmac adaptors.

dedalus power proportions 3:2
Review Dedalus Magnus Raffaele
What were your
listening impressions?

Now that the whole system is wired Ricable, the sound is much warmer, very deep bass and, as I said then, the thing that struck me the most is the silence, the absence of any harmonic useless for the sound, detail at the maximum levels, soundstage that has been raised frighteningly (I think, however, also thanks to the two new amps). The Mark Levinson, connected with its cable, was very detailed, almost cold. Changing cable with the Dedalus has added a warmth to the sound, almost valve-like, that wraps you even at the highest volumes. The VS110 amp is a pleasure to listen to, and replacing the Netzkabel has given it a much deeper and more controlled bass. Dynamics are excellent, as if the power cords Ricable bring more power, I don't know but it feels that way.

Your conclusions.

I'm very satisfied with the cabling Ricable, I've never tried more expensive cables, but in my opinion they are at the top (they don't cost little, to wire everything I went out of my pocket to get another amp), but they are worth all the money spent and much, much more. I must also thank the owner for his immense availability.

What made you choose Ricable?

I started studying on the web looking for reviews and comparisons, which motivated me to choose Ricable. It was not easy to decide but what I read, the opinions of those who had chosen Ricable were really comforting. I also asked the opinion of my trusted shop making comparisons with many cables available on the market, but I won't hide the fact that many times I was frightened by the purchase price. Ricable was the right alternative.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The packaging says it all about the quality of the product, and opening the boxes inside was a very interesting sight indeed. Immediately one notices an evident careful and painstaking use of materials that denote solidity, flexibility and a very special clamping force.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

My listening test was with the Dire Straits SACD, Brothers in Arms, and the Herbie Hancock SACD, Gershwin's World. I listened in both stereo and 5.1 multichannel mode. I listen to music at 360 degrees, choosing what to listen to according to the moment and the mood. I can just as easily relax to a piece of classical music as I can enthuse to a piece of hard rock or metal.

Dario Ricable Review
What were your
listening impressions?

By Herbie Hancock I go to track no. 8: It Ain't Necessarily So (Interlude). Very short, only 1:24, but where piano, double bass and trumpet chase each other in a furious race. Absolute clarity. Precise detail of every single instrument and the double bass absolutely firm in its place without overpowering. Stupendous! I continue with track n. 9: Cotton Tail, never heard a piano so dynamic and precise, the cymbals magnificently clear and bright. State of the art definition. After jazz, it's time for rock, with Dire Straits. Track no. 5: Why Worry, here the spatiality of the instruments is very wide, the arpeggio of the guitar is very detailed, as well as the small percussions that colour the track. Mark Knopfler's deep voice comes out so clear and detailed that I have the impression of having him in my room in the flesh. Spectacular. Track no. 6: Ride Across The River, in my opinion this track can challenge any hi-fi system. Endowed with an amazing dynamic, the whole sound spectrum is returned without fatigue and with great detail. Remarkable.

Your conclusions.

Procedo all’istallazione, mi accomodo sul divano e avvio l’ascolto.
Grazie Ricable.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The cables Ricable have a high level of finish, really well made. They are very robust to the touch but have excellent flexibility.

Attilio Ricable Review
How did you test for differences?

The audio part of my system consists of a Denon AVC-X6700H, Sonus Faber Minima Amator speakers, Audio Pro SubZero subwoofer, S.M.S.L M400 DAC, iMac with ROON application (Qobuz), Pioneer 96 kHz CD player. The test to appreciate the listening differences was done by connecting and disconnecting my old commercial cables and listening to the same tracks several times.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

To assess the audio qualities of these cables I listened to pieces by Golden Duck Orchestra, Supertramp, Pink Floyd and Morrissey. The difference, and a notable one at that, was immediately appreciated. Even if they have not yet completed an adequate break-in period, the sound is very clean and transparent on the whole range of frequencies, especially the highest ones. Excellent cables.

Any differences from reference cables.
Did you find any?

I would say that the differences with my old cables were obvious from the first note. Clean and transparent sound with excellent dynamics.

What made you choose Ricable?

I was looking for a cable that would improve the sound of my system, that would take away that feeling of listening fatigue. I started out using simple copper wire and then switched to a Dynaudio cable, bought at random, but the result was not satisfactory at all. So I began my search for a solution by visiting and reading various forums and reviews. I was looking for a cable that, even if it doesn't cost a crazy amount of money, could be good for me and my system.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

Right from the packaging, you can tell that the product has been carefully designed down to the last detail. I found, although the cable is of a certain thickness, absolutely not rigid. The banana plugs and sheaths are perfect, especially the sheaths are precisely terminated. At the first insertion of the banana plugs into the connectors I found some difficulty, but this guarantees an optimal contact.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I listen mainly to rock and blues music and did nothing more than listen to tracks that I know very well, both on vinyl and CD, with the previous cables. The test lasted about three weeks as I had read that cables also need a break-in period.

What were your
listening impressions?

As far as I'm concerned, the listening impression, after three weeks, can only be positive. I am not a pure audiophile, if I may say so, but I was looking for a cable that could improve the sound, sometimes too tiring, of the cables I had previously tried. I wanted a cable that balanced and exalted the frequencies more, without suffocating them, and I think I have found it in this Magnus. I am fully satisfied, I think that my system has improved by 30%, which is no small thing. Low frequencies are more rounded and there is more detail in the mid-high frequencies.

Your conclusions.

In conclusion, I am fully satisfied with my purchase. Would I recommend them? Yes, I would. But I want to underline that the final result is subject to many variations, to the kind of system, to the listening room and, last but not least, to the personal taste. The quality-price ratio, I think, is all there, even if it is obvious that the money spent is not little.

What did he do to you to choose Ricable?

As a regular visitor to a local audio store Omera Audio at Vlaardingen (The Netherlands) I became familiar with the Ricable brand. I myself had pretty much the entire cabling of AudioQuest. I read the Ricable folder in which an explanation was given about the construction of the copper and the connectors and my interest was triggered by this.
To put Ricable to the test, I took a demo Dedalus interlink with me. After a few hours of warming up, I replaced the AQ cable between my DAC and AMP for the Dedalus and sat down for it. Wondering if I could perceive a difference, I put on the same piece of music and instead of listening to the small differences in the details my mouth fell open.

Magnus USB

The music came to life so much more and a much better stage than with the more expensive AQ cable. After switching back and forth a few times, I was surprised every time. The Dedalus, which is cheaper than my AQ cable, performed several levels higher.
I immediately bought the Invictus cable and compared it with the Dedalus and the Invictus interlink went even further in everything. Until today I have replaced all my AQ cabling for Ricable Invictus cabling and Dedalus power cables and with every replacement I had a significant improvement in my system compared to the AQ.
The only connection I did not have from Ricable yet was the USB connection between my Innuos streamer and my Metrum Ladder DAC. Here an AQ Coffee USB cable did the signal transfer. I subscribed to a message from Ricable regarding the new Magnus USB cable. Two weeks later it was delivered and I could test what the differences would be.

Magnus USB Review Dennis
What do you think
of the construction and
the aesthetics
of the product?

The AudioQuest cable costs 449 € (1,5 m) and the Ricable Magnus USB costs 94 € on the same 1,5 m length. I first compared them visually and Ricable already has the first plus point. The AQ Coffee appears visually in comparison to the Magnus as a fragile thin cable. The Magnus looks and feels like a premium cable. Since appearance doesn't always say something, I compare them both with songs that I know well.

How did you carry out the tests? What songs
did you use
to test the cable?

I let the Magnus play for a day before I actually start comparing. I always compare A/B with three numbers. If you haven't heard it by then, the difference is very small. I play the songs in its entirety and then repeat the first minute before switching the cable. I do this with every change of cables.

Magnus USB Review Dennis
Magnus USB
What were yours
listening impressions?

First I play Our Love Is Easy by Melody Gardot and start with the AQ. The beginning of the song sounds oppressive when the strings start. When the Ricable takes care of the transfer, the song sounds a bit more dramatic and Melody's voice sounds a lot more intimate. When I switch back to the AQ, I notice that the Ricable performs better in terms of voices.
As the second song I play Grace of God from the beautiful album Weltschmerz by Fish (former member of Marillion). The beginning sounds very holographic on both cables, but again in terms of voice the Ricable Magnus sounds a lot nicer. When I play with the AQ, the low end seems a bit more turned on and sounds less tight, which has a negative influence on the midrange.

As the third song I play Giorgio Conte with Gnè Gnè, it is striking that the pace, rhythm and timing of the Magnus is very good. It sounds so nice that you no longer want to pay attention to details but want to enjoy the music.
When I return to the AQ it sounds fine in itself, but the Magnus just sounds a bit more pleasant, more music enjoyment!

Your conclusions.

If we consider the price of the cables, the surprise is complete and the Ricable Magnus is chosen over the factor 4.7 more expensive AQ Coffee.
Ricable has already surprised me a lot last year and now again with the Magnus USB cable. For the price, it really is a no-brainer. If the Magnus is already playing at this level, I am really looking forward to the Dedalus and the Invictus.

What made you choose Ricable?

Ricable is a company I've known for ten, maybe fifteen years now, since I started to get interested in the world of home cinema. With my first video projector I also bought my first cable Ricable, an HDMI cable of the Ultimate series... since then I appreciated the build quality and the attention to aesthetics and details, all things that made me appreciate the work and start following the company. Time has passed since then and Ricable has made many steps forward... the latest is this USB cable for liquid music. But let's see what it looks like in detail!

Ricable Review Adriano
Ricable Review Adriano
What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

Just seeing the outer box of the USB cable Magnus gives a pleasant feeling of having purchased something important. Going into the unboxing process this feeling is confirmed and amplified. The aesthetic construction is impeccable, with an excellent coloured braid that is very resistant and the gold-plated USB connectors are well protected by a thick rubber sheath. What is surprising is the extreme flexibility of the cable despite its considerable thickness, which is important especially for those who, like me, have little space between the electronics and the rear wall. Looking into the internal construction of this cable, I am pleased to note that the USB standards are respected (something that not all manufacturers declare), such as the characteristic impedance of the conductors. I also see that thanks to the dielectric used and the special geometry, possible cross talk effects (electrical interference between adjacent conductors) are eliminated, and capacitance and inductance are reduced to a minimum. These are all things that help to reduce jitter as much as possible.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

As for the methodology used in the tests, the cable was compared with two other cables of well-known brands that I have been used to listening to for some time. When I do this kind of testing I generally, and in this case as well, use the song Sultan of Swing to evaluate the sense of rhythm, the attacks of the instruments and the response to the transients that the cable can give, while I use the album Unplugged by Erick Clapton and some tracks by Battiato to evaluate the male voices. For female vocals I used Diana Krall's The Book of Love.

What were your
listening impressions?

Turning to the most important aspect, beautiful yes, but how does it sound? Damn good.
Let's be clear, we are talking about cables, fine tuning, so we are talking about nuances of differences that only a good system tuned upstream can give back... but they are those differences, that cherry on the cake that we audiophiles are always chasing. Regardless of the track used in the tests, what I noticed was an increase in the depth of the soundstage and an exceptional separation of the instruments, something probably obtained thanks to the presence of the four shields present in the cable that make the signal clean and free from any electric noise. On the rock track the sense of rhythm given by this cable is excellent, as is the precision of the drum attacks. There is no trace of sharpness on the highs while maintaining a very pleasant airiness of the instruments, a brilliance in the sense of clarity of the musical message that is never tiring. Clacson's voice is granitic in the middle of the speakers and Krall's voice is as sweet as ever.

Your conclusions.

In conclusion I can say that this cable is the umpteenth proof that this company knows what it wants to do and above all how to do it. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to get the most out of their DAC in terms of sound, but also the best out of their system from the point of view of satisfying the eye and knowing they've bought something well made.

The saturation level.

Deuxième écoute: Kurt Elling - album The Question - titre A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall (24/96 AIFF).

The smallest details are audible.

Quel voyage!

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The USB cable Magnus was sent home quickly (48 hours). The packaging for transport and presentation is robust, the cable well protected. The finish of the cable is remarkable, a protective sheath in the colour corresponding to the Magnus series protects the entire cable, which is "fine" while remaining strong, the high-quality terminations are covered with a retractable sheath that makes the cable solid. A cable that is well finished in every detail and that testifies to all the know-how of Ricable in its striving for perfection.

How did you carry out the tests?Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I evaluated the USB cable Magnus by listening to several albums that I am used to playing on my setup at different volumes and positioning in the listening room. This was to assess the impact on overall sound quality. The level of saturation. The system ran on its own for about thirty hours to allow the break-in because this first listening seemed too concentrated on the low frequencies to the detriment of the mids and highs that made the listening unsatisfactory.

Erick Ricable Review
Erick Ricable Review
What were
your listening impressions?

After this break-in period, I could perceive a clear improvement of the overall performance with a perfect balance. A much wider and deeper soundstage than I was used to, as well as a separation of instruments and voices in space... the result is a very interesting soundstage, even physical and, well, you don't need a high volume to hear everything, so the details are there.

First listen: Josefine Cronholm - album Ember - track Sing (16/44 AIFF).
An intimate atmosphere rendered very well, Josefine Cronholm's voice is present in front of the stage, the instruments slightly behind accentuate the closeness, everything is in place, no instrument disturbs the others, the saxophone enters the scene and the complicity of voice and sax is very well done. In conclusion: very nice listening that continued throughout the disc.

Second listening: Kurt Elling - album The Question - track A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall (24/96 AIFF).
What a voice, it starts a cappella and is very clear and powerful as you wish, then when the orchestra comes in it's an explosion. The width of the room is 5m but even there it is practically doubled in height. A real concert in the house, every instrument has its power with this dynamic and clarity of timbre, they are all well placed in all three dimensions leaving the place of honour to the voice. Another very nice listen. The whole disc is reproduced here too.

Third listening: Kyle Eastwood- album Cinematic - track Bullitt (24/96 AIFF).
This time it is the speed that comes into play; the album is powerful, it bursts everywhere and yet everything remains very clear, no aggression, no instruments overlap with the brass, dynamic, even the well placed drums want their place, the bass sings. The smallest details are audible. For atmosphere I turn up the sound (no neighbours, no distortion, no fatigue, it's beautiful).

Fourth listening: Dhafer Youssef - album Birds Requiem - the whole disc (24/96 AIFF).
I can't stop on one title. What a journey! Pure contemplation. Captured by a magical hand or rather voice to take a timeless journey between the content and the unconscious, the whole record and played in five minutes... well, that was the impression. What words to use to explain this feeling, none, would become intellectual... It was simply a beautiful journey.

Fifth listening: Ami et camarade - album Personnages (24/96 AIFF).
Guitar/vocals. A guitar that hits hard, that vibrates in a very physical way, it's easy to imagine the fingers moving over the strings, fast and clear timbres. A way, a warm, vibrant, powerful presence and always this impression of greatness.

Your conclusions.

The first impression is the increase in holographic imaging, although this was already superb with the Audia Flight player, then the addition of a force that increases the physical presence of each speaker, which makes the evidence that the cable is quiet enough to pass only music more palpable.
What I can also say about this cable is that it is in perfect harmony with the Audia Flight DAC; presence, power and nice separation of instruments, clear, crystalline tones going very high, deep and fast bass, voices present as if the singer was in the listening room, overall no coldness or saturation, a very analogue, real, palpable sound.
For a cable that is not the highest in the Ricable range, I am very satisfied with its quality. Although I knew Ricable, but had never taken the step of buying before, the quality of this USB cable urges me to go further and try the Invictus Signal RCA cable and the new USB Invictus cable which should be released early in the year 2021, which I will order in the next few days.

Construction and aesthetics. Did you find the cable solid and attractive?

As soon as you open the package, which is very sturdy and aesthetically impeccable, the cable is very well assembled, aesthetically very attractive. Well-built cable, perhaps a little hard to insert into the RCAs.

How did you test for differences?

The test was carried out alternating between my QED cable and Ricable. The chain I tested consisted of a Naim SUPERNAIT 2 amplifier and Naim ND5 XS streamer.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

The Magnus cable delivers precise sound with a focused soundstage. Full-bodied but not redundant bass tones. My only criticism is on the mid-high tones which I found too harsh and not very separated for my taste. The comparison was made with my QED Reference 40. I have preferred to make the comparison with a cable of the same price for a fairer judgement.
Tracks used: Diana Krall, I Remember You, FLAC 24/96; Stevie Ray Vaughan, Tin Pan Alley, DSD64; Dire Straits, You and Your Friend, FLAC 16/44.

Construction and aesthetics. Did you find the cable solid and attractive?

Excellently constructed and aesthetically very, very nice cable. High-class connectors and perfect clamping.

Review Francesco Try a Ricable Magnus Signal
How did you test for differences?

Test carried out by connecting the Magnus between the Audio Research preamp and power amp. Since the beginning I've noticed an improvement especially in the definition and in the control of the low frequencies in comparison with the Van Den Hul D-102. After a few days of break-in, also the mid-high range is well present, open and very pleasant.

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

The impressions have been absolutely positive, thanks also to the exceptional contribution of the cable Speaker Supreme P2, connected to the tannoy Berkeley MKII, purchased a few days later. Rehearsals with Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Michael Bublé and Musica Nuda to test the voices; Gary Moore, The Aristocrats, Porcupine Tree, Iron Maiden for the rhythm and rock sections. All presented in an excellent way, with an excellent soundstage and good handling of even the most challenging passages.

As written above, the differences are not abysmal but clear compared to the Van Den Hul. I'd be curious, finances permitting, to also try the power cords and the top series INTERCONNECT and speaker cables.

What made you choose Ricable?

Actually, my whole system is wired Ricable, but the connection with my computer was connected with a quality cable but it gave me some little problems like buzzing and discharge so I had the chance to try this cable. I chose this company again because I really like the care of the products and especially the care towards the customer.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics of the product?

The cable's construction is as always impeccable, well-made and very pleasant to the touch. The cable arrived in a beautiful box, with very comprehensive instructions. It looks excellent, both for the connectors and the cable itself. Robust and pleasing to the eye, looking at it I could see why it was so expensive. Real value, quality and definition. There is better but you really have to go to the moon!

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

Good cable for listening to liquid music. To connect the PC to the DAC I used a normal cable of good quality but I wanted to try this USB Magnus. The difference is all in favour of the Made in Italy cable. The improvement is clearly audible even if not of epochal entity. I recommend it without hesitation!

What were your
listening impressions?

What can I say... SPECTACULAR! The test track I've used is Vanessa Fernandez - Distant Lover, with the new cable the sound has changed considerably and the sound dynamics and timbre are clearer and better but above all it has eliminated a very slight background annoyance that I had with the old cable...

My second test track was: Evie Sands, While I Look At You, the bass became 'super bass', much more present and a fantastic timbre and all the instruments in their place. And third and final track, the legendary Kind of Blue, Miles Davis, also passed the jazz test. With this Magnus it seems that the sound has opened up, all the instruments in their place, really fantastic. Highly recommended for all those who use a DAC and PC connection.

Your conclusions.

The comparison with my old NEO by Oyaide d+ USB cable (class S) has however shown significant improvements at least for my ears 🙂 You can really notice the positioning in the space of the instruments clearer and more precise, very pleasant even in long listening sections, not tiring, even being very solid and well flexible.

Construction and aesthetics. Did you find the cable solid and attractive?

Top construction! As soon as you take it out of the excellent package, which unlike many who complain about who knows what absurd difficulties in opening it (...) I found only very well made and appropriate to the quality of the object contained, you immediately appreciate the enviable workmanship and, although less important, an attractive appearance.

How did you test for differences?

I carried out the tests, but only after having kept it connected to the system for all the thirty days foreseen by the regulation, just connecting and disconnecting the Magnus and the other cable in my possession, an Oehlbach Beat!, a cable that I would define the minimum necessary to start listening to music properly. In this regard, the particular manufacture of the connectors, which require screwing in, created quite a few problems for me. In fact, the whole thing was quite complicated since I had to unscrew and screw the connectors for each track. The same screwing/unscrewing becomes a nightmare when you have to put your hands behind the electronics with other cables next to them... Normally, once positioned, you leave them there, it is not like you do listening tests every day... but I am not sure that the screwing system is a winner under all aspects. I'm waiting for the opinions of more experienced users and, why not, of the manufacturers themselves. But a connector made in a workmanlike manner but without the necessity of screwing it, does it really lose something in fidelity?

How did you carry out the tests? Which songs did you use to test the cable?

I have carried out my tests with some reference tracks that I like and that I know very well; as said before, I had kept the cable connected to the system and used it for almost thirty days to listen through the DAC connected to the PC not only to music, but also to movies, videogames and various YouTube contents. The tests were carried out with very good quality FLAC tracks: Norah Jones - Come Away with Me, Shivaree - Goodnight Moon (exceptional voice), The Cardigans - Erase/Rewind (unexpected quality recording and an impressive stereo image for a pop song like many others), Allan Taylor - Colour to the Moon, WAV quality (pure CD) and exceptional album from the first to the last track, Everything but the Girl - Missing also in WAV, Learning to Fly by Pink Floyd, one of the few tracks I can digest by this very famous band that I have never loved. I then passed for pure scruple to the CD Player, also here the usual unscrewing/unscrewing... but I needed to have a different reference than my usual source, that is liquid through PC. Falling into You by Céline Dion, Loud by Rihanna and Mezzanine by Massive Attack, I didn't go further so as not to spend the New Year's Eve in front of the PC...

Any differences from reference cables.
Did you find any?

Alas few, or at least not as many as I expected. From the very first connection I immediately noticed a greater "presence" of the whole, a bit of emphasis on the bass. I also reported these impressions in chat to Ricable and was answered, very honestly, that, well, it is good that there are differences. Indeed, this is not to be taken for granted, and that the greater emphasis on bass could be due to the fact that it is (in the engineer's words) a 'revealing' cable. With time, this greater bass presence faded away, perhaps the break-in phase caused the cable to 'loosen up' a bit, but in any case by having it connected to the system at all times I got used to its sound. At the time of the main test I was expecting more differences with my reference cable and instead these differences turned out to be few, in some cases almost null, in others better but my opinion on this cable can't ignore its purchase price.
If I make a simple comparison with my old cable (a medium quality unbalanced cable costing 30/35 €) and this one, a 142 € half meter semi-balanced cable, well, it would be logical to expect a cable that sounds not four times better but at least twice as good (obviously I'm talking like the worst forum in Caracas...) but I hope I made my point. My personal opinion: I find more justification for the price in the manufacture than in the audio qualities. But of course, this is not a criticism of Ricable, all the manufacturers charge three zeros for their cables INTERCONNECT , these are the costs and it is up to the customer to decide whether to take them or not.
