I decided to renew my whole Hi-Fi system. I needed something new, and to improve the quality. Also the accessories. Many things are new to me. Then someone mentions cables. We talk about it. But in the shop there is little knowledge. I know more by accessing the internet, and comparing myself on social networks. Many brands and models but I was struck by Ricable, for the images of its products and because it is an Italian company. The online support is also good.
and aesthetics of the product?
Very fast in handling the order and shipping. Beautiful packaging and appreciated the care taken in packaging. I feel I can say that there is attention to the environment in the choice of packaging materials. Beautiful and well-kept cables. I like the protective sleeves, and not least the connectors with the factory logo in red and black to distinguish polarity.
This is the most difficult part. I listened to the same tracks several times, both from the CD player and via Bluetooth, swapping cables several times. I drew my own conclusions. To be sure, I involved a family member in the tests without his knowledge. We came to the same conclusions, which I am very pleased about.
listening impressions?
Starting with the fact that I had supermarket cables, the Primus Signal was not difficult. I dusted off several CDs: Queen, Sting, Tracy Chapman, Fabrizio De André and some classical music. Then via Bluetooth I tapped into liquid music, looking for live versions. Depending on the various tracks, I tried to concentrate on the voices and instruments. I noticed without much effort a better sound quality and a cleaner sound. For the Primus Speaker cables, which replaced normal OFC copper cables, after the first hours of break-in (a practice that not everyone shares), the enhancement of voices and a reduction in the mid-high range was evident. The effect faded and was more pleasant when the cables were lifted off the floor. It's nice to discover new little details from my tracks that I didn't hear before.
Your conclusions.
Did I make a good purchase? Of course you did. Could I have spent more on the Magnus series? You certainly could. Never say never. To those who told me to "not spend money on stupid cables", well, I'm sorry: you were wrong. I wanted more quality, that's all. It's a good experience. It gave me a pleasant feeling. I am satisfied. I recommend these cables as a first step to good listening.
