The following review of Primus Signal and Primus Speaker cables is the result of the "Ricable Review" initiative. Ricable Review is the program designed by Ricable, created to collect feedback from audiophiles, in order to lead to continuous improvement of the products in the catalog. Last but not least, those who join the program receive a certificate at home, with the purpose of certifying how the customer has become to all intents and purposes part of the " Ricable" family.
The following Feedback was created on the basis of a predefined questionnaire to which the user returned their impressions, in a completely free. We thank Marco for his time.

What made you choose Ricable?

I was setting up a good level chain with speakers I have owned for some time and know well. I considered not replacing them now to appreciate the new level of the amplifier and source. I also initially left the cables I had built years ago unchanged. I was very pleased with the new system while realizing that the weak point was precisely the cables Speaker (in particular) and INTERCONNECT. Hence the decision to upgrade. I did several searches and both as written and video reviews I heard good things about Ricable. At this point I decided to purchase the two products.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics
of the product?

The products look very well finished with high quality bananas. The very soft sheaths adequately protect the actual cable, and the feeling that the whole thing is constructed with a high attention to detail is tangible. The packaging of the cables also confirms the same feeling. Not least, they arrived within two days of ordering. This is not essential, but it too confirms the feeling of care for the customer as well as the product.

How did you carry out the tests? What tracks did you use to test the cable?

Before plugging in the cables, I listened to my test playlist that I use to test electronics, amplifiers and speakers to imprint the before in my memory. Björk, Soulsavers, Trentemøller, Manu Chao, Led Zeppelin, Sia and others played for about an hour. Then I plugged in the new cables and repeated listening to the same playlist.

What were your
listening impressions?

The change has been radical. The songs heard came from Qobuz with audio quality at least as good as CD and in several cases in high resolution. The level of detail and precison found in some cases made me think I was not listening to the same recording. Certainly the previous cables were not at the same level, but the amount of musical information reaching the ear is enormously greater. The most obvious case I encountered was with Marooned by Pink Floyd. And I'm talking about the entry level series. Now I will enjoy this good result for a while and then I can think about changing speakers.

Your conclusions.

What to say. Cables alone cannot work miracles, but in a good technical chain they can make the best of what one has, and the listening experience, in my case, benefited greatly. I recommend as always to start step by step as even the basic series is of a very good level. Then to grow there is always the possibility.
