I chose these cables Speaker after reading the positive comments on various sites and forums. For a long time I have been using a normal copper cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² without any pretensions. Due to my limited free time I don't spend many hours listening to music, but in the previous period of closures due to the pandemic, having to spend a lot of time at home, I got back into the world of Hi-FI and hence the decision to buy the cables Speaker new.
and aesthetics of the product?
The look of the cables, in my personal opinion, is definitely very nice, they don't go unnoticed... they are really well made! Although I haven't had any other cables in the past I can say, seeing other products on the internet, that these are very well made and very well cared for. If the eye is anything to go by, these cables really do deliver. The packaging that comes with the cables is also very well made.
I simply made several listening tests with tracks on CDs that I know very well and have always listened to. The same track repeated many times, first with one pair of speakers and then with the other... same repetitions with first my old cables and then the Ricable Primus. In all the listening sessions I tried to focus on the differences in the various passages and I must say that, even if I do not have a very trained ear..., I noticed several differences between the cables.
listening impressions?
I immediately noticed a noticeable change at the extremes of the bandwidth and then, concentrating well, also differences in the midrange. The bass was more controlled and deep, the highs less shrill and sibylline and the mids became more natural, especially the voices... The RCF Mytho 1 are small monitor speakers and they are not forgiving! Even if they are an old design, they didn't give any particular colouration to the music and so the details, for better or worse, are all there for you. The improvements made by the Primus were more noticeable with these speakers than with the others. Overall, there was an improvement across the spectrum.
Your conclusions.
I don't consider myself an expert in cables and my ear is within the norm, but I can honestly say that on my system these cables have brought improvements and you can hear them, in fact the listening fatigue has decreased considerably! These cables Speaker I believe they are suitable for all those who want to take their first steps in the world of high fidelity without spending a fortune. The Primus are the cheapest cables of Ricable so, most probably, the higher ones "sound" better... who knows, in the future maybe we can upgrade the whole chain...
