The following review of the Dedalus Speaker MKII cable is the result of the "Ricable Review" initiative. Ricable Review is the program designed by Ricable, created to collect feedback from audiophiles, in order to lead to continuous improvement of the products in the catalog. Last but not least, those who join the program receive a certificate at home, with the purpose of certifying how the customer has become to all intents and purposes part of the " Ricable" family.
The following Feedback was created on the basis of a predefined questionnaire to which the user returned his impressions, in a completely free. We thank Stephen for his time.

What made you choose Ricable?

I became aware of the brand Ricable by reading a Hi-Fi magazine. Since I was looking for a good replacement for my cables Speaker , I went to read the various reviews, also in other languages. I then saw that Ricable products are highly valued and that the company has a really interesting policy: lifetime warranty on products purchased from the website, free return within a full 60 days of purchase, and valuation of used products at the same price as new to make upgrades.
This was my second purchase from Ricable, having already bought months earlier the jumpers Dedalus Bridge , with which I am more than satisfied.

What do you think about the construction
and aesthetics
of the product?

The packaging is very well packed, durable and very professional looking. The cables are expertly made: solid and very flexible, despite the considerable thickness. I was impressed by the definitely significant weight.
I chose banana plugs on both sides and also find them very solid, made of very good quality materials and extremely stable.

How did you carry out the tests? What tracks did you use to test the cable?

I did not conduct comparative tests of the A-B type by alternating the new cables with the old ones. I preferred to use the Ricable cables from the beginning, listening to a large and varied repertoire: baroque music, piano sonatas, organ pieces, film soundtracks, symphonic wide-ranging compositions (Mahler), operas, sacred and choral music.
For some time now I have not used physical media and play all music from Qobuz or from files ripped from my CD collections. My listening has all been with FLAC files in CD or Hi-Res quality (when possible 24/192, or 24/96) transmitted through Roon.

What were your
listening impressions?

After trying several of them, I have come to the conclusion that cables have a certain weight in the sound performance of the system. These are details, of course, however they are noticeable and, in some cases, characterize the sound.
Overall I perceived more naturalness, fluidity and musical cohesion; the sound seems more full-bodied and realistic. Compared to the previous cables, I noticed a slightly more present and well-controlled bass, without "tails." Mids and highs slightly more rounded and "analog", but still airy. The treble range seems less fatiguing than with other cables.
Resolution also seems to be slightly improved, as does the focus of voices and instruments. The virtual soundstage seems more expansive.
Finally, I noticed a slight increase in sound pressure at the same volume.

Your conclusions.

Overall, I noticed an improvement over the previous cables. Definitely the neutrality and naturalness are the features that stand out most compared to the previous cables Speaker . I would recommend these cables to anyone looking for these characteristics in a Hi-Fi system.
The cables are very well made and one particularly appreciates their flexibility and solidity in the connections.
